Re: Kids bunk bed with carpeted stairs

Hi Tim, I'm interested -- do you have any photos of the bed? And is it already disassembled? Thanks!

Re: Recommendations for educational psychologist for 8 year old

I'm not sure if she's an educational psychologist but we see Stephanie Doig (virtually and in Wimbledon) and have found her very helpful. She works a lot with the Effra Clinic, which specialises in ASD.

Re: Bugaboo or Stokke?

It depends which Bugaboo and how you're planning on using the pram. We had a Bugaboo Bee and absolutely loved it (great turning radius, can take it on the tube relatively easily, easily adjustable handles for users of different heights, the car seat can be on at the same time as the cocoon) BUT it d...

Re: Looking for a first bike for 4 yo- budget £150

Have you thought about doing Bike Club? We've been doing that since our eldest was 4 -- it's about £10/month (slightly less) and you can swap out the bikes as they grow. We've had 2 Frog bikes for a fraction of the price.

Re: Small electrical repairs

I'm not sure he does on site repairs so probably not for a cooker hood BUT if you do have small electrical repairs on other things, the Morden Repair Centre is amazing. 9 London Rd, Morden SM4 5HJ and 07846 870099

Re: Going Rate for a Cleaner

Also £13/hour -- our cleaner took a lot of holiday last year so we used a few other people too. £13 seemed standard if you're not going through an agency.

Re: Private ASD/ADHD assessments

We're also seeing Dr Eleni Paliokosta at the Effra Clinic. It's been hugely expensive (£450 for an initial assessment and I think close to £2,000 for a full assessment). If you already have an EHCP and some kind of diagnosis or previous evaluations, it's likely to be cheaper. It's a bit frustrating ...

Re: Newton Prep or Eaton House The Manor?

We went with Eaton House for the commute honestly. We had the same doubts about how traditional it is and the single-sex environment. That said, our son has absolutely loved it and we really like running into classmates at the playground, etc.  Overall, I'd agree with the poster above and say go wit...

Re: Nine Elms Advent Calendar Trail 2021

I realise this defeats the purpose a bit but does anyone know how visible the lights would be from a car? We've got a family member with mobility issues but would love to show him the lights.

Re: Experiences with Electric Cars

I've had an electric car (a Tesla) for over 2 years now and really love it. That said, I'd look closely at how you're planning on using it. We were worried about charging before buying it but have since realised most of our driving is pretty short range (day trips to Surrey or trips within London) s...
