Re: Where to get a suit for a 16- year -old?

There’s a Trinity Hospice charity shop in Wimbledon that has a connection to Hugo Boss, meaning they receive brand new suits to resell. I just bought my son trousers, shirt and jacket for £90, all Hugo brand. They have all sizes, and you can buy items individually, which you could then have altered ...

Re: baby hygiene

Speak to your GP or midwife at your next appointment to see if there are any post natal or ante natal classes you could attend. Or you could contact NCT (National Childbirth Trust). They run classes but they charge a fee. Good luck!

Re: I have two boys and now really want a baby girl.

I have three sons and I have a very close relationship with my youngest, just because of his personality. So what I am saying is that there is no guarantee that a daughter would be close to you or that your sons won’t. You just need to decide if you want three children, and you will, I’m sure, be de...

Re: coffee morning mothers having a go at my son and me without realising I was in the room

I can’t believe that any parent would think it acceptable to use a class coffee morning to criticise a child and their parent. Let them get on with it and ignore their comments.

Re: how long do we put up with the classroom disruption before we say something?

Ex Valley Doll A spoiled birthday party is really not comparable to a child taking their life. I work in a mainstream school with children who have ASD. There are lots of things that could have been put in place to avoid what happened at the party, perhaps they weren’t explored or planned. My heart ...

Re: Second baby due soon - how to cope with two?

I bet it won’t be as hard as you think. I was “warned “ that it would be difficult, but for me nothing was as challenging as going from no children to one. Going from one to two was much easier. Keep in touch with other mums, accept help when offered and accept that initially you won’t be able to do...

Re: ASD/Aspergers help please

Hello, I work with children who have ASD among other things. Your situation sounds very similar to a child I worked with last year. You have been given such good advice here, but may I also add one thing? It will become even more important that you and your husband present a united front and parent ...

Re: 12 yrs old tantrums, homeschooling, lockdown etc...

I sympathise with you. The children are as frustrated as us about not being able to see friends, attend their hobbies and clubs etc, and pre teens/ teenagers are emotional and hormonal. However, knowing what the problem is doesn’t make it easier to deal with, but I find comfort knowing this is norma...

Re: Visual tracking

If this comes under the umbrella of sensory integration, there are loads of good books available on line with great ideas. If not and I’m on the wrong track, my apologies. Good luck.

Re: Can anyone lend some skiing gear today for a 6/7 y old and an adult? Tips for first skiing with young kids?

Mountain Warehouse for cheap ski gear, especially this time of the year. And definitely lessons for the kids. Take loads of snacks on the slopes as they will be burning a lot of fuel and be very hungry! Enjoy

Re: Having second thoughts on nursery

My children are at school now, but I would say if you are unhappy with the nursery then this really isn’t an option for you. I made a similar choice and spent all my time at work worrying, and then having problems when dealing with the staff. My salvation was a childminder. If you can find a good on...

Re: All Things Baby Related- Wanted

Don’t feel you have to buy everything brand new. Babies grow out of things so quickly, it’s just not worth spending a lot of money on things like clothes.
