Half term clubs - minimum age

Hi all,
I was wondering - since I’ve searched but cannot find! - does anyone know any half term/holiday clubs that take newly-4 year olds? The only ones I’ve found have a minimum requirement of being in reception.
Many thanks for any insight!
Best,

Nursery pickups and holidays

Hi All, We’re looking for a nanny or babysitter to collect a 3.5yr old from Telferscot nursery and look after her from 3:30-6:30pm, and/or provide full time babysitting/childcare during the school half term holidays before she’s big enough for the holiday school camps next year. If you can do any/al...

Cost of a cleaner

Hi All, We’ve got a really great cleaner through a cleaning company, but the company is looking to increase prices. We’re happy with the service, but I want a sense check that the new rate to the company (£18/hour) is reasonable. I don’t know what the company pays the cleaner directly. Does anyone h...

Maintenance gardening

Hi all,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a gardener? 57 ft garden is a bit more than I can handle, just need weeding, pruning, general management and maintenance.

My guess is a few hours every month maybe, but new to the gardening game.

Thank you all!

House clean

Hi all, It looks as though we may (finally) be in a position to complete on our house purchase in about a week. We’d like to have an “end of tenancy” style clean done on the house we’re moving into, but it’s been a while since we needed one, so wondered if anyone can recommend a company? Many thanks!

Re: Husband doesn't want us to tell the children that he has lost his job

This sounds immensely personal and you can only do what feels right to you. To me, concealing it can only lead to problems as you may have to make more and more lifestyle changes without being able to tell people why, or worse, having to lie/invent reasons. You may be missing out on the potential su...

Re: Bombay Bicycle Chef coming to Balham

Hi all, I normally order Indian from the Indian Room or the Gurkha Diner - they are tasty and reliable. At the risk of sounding old, I really want to try new places but have been burned in the past with curry places that promise high quality and then deliver what seems little better (indistinguishab...

Re: are carpets a no go with children?

We’ve found rugs are the way to go. Hard floors are easier to clean, but when babies turn into toddlers there are far fewer slips and falls when there’s a soft floor - plus falls hurt less. My preference is a big (near room-filling) rug with a mat down for messy activities like feeds and changes Hop...

Piano move

Hi all,

We’re hoping to move house as soon as the lockdown is over and will need to move an upright piano. Only about 400m to the new house, near Telferscot school.

Has anyone had experience with a piano mover they can recommend?

Thanks!
