Trustworthy aluminium window fitter in Wandsworth please?

Hello, we need a floor to ceiling aluminium window in the pod room in the loft to replace a rotting wooden one. Can you recommend someone you trust please? Most window companies get appalling Trustpilot scores if anything goes wrong. Thank you.

Re: Nursery Fees

All nurseries are suffering with fee increases and hard-to-get staff.
Have you found Apples and Honey Nightingale? I'm sure fees are not that high.
It just got an Ofsted Outstanding and it's a much better site, with a huge, secure, garden and outdoor space.

Room or flat to rent in Wandsworth for Imperial College MSc student

Hello all, some of my fellow students (24 and 28 yr old males) need rooms or a 2-bed flat until end of September 2023. I can vouch that they are quiet and respectful, as we've had one in our spare room but they need their own place :) If anyone wants to rent a spare room, 2 spare rooms or a whole fl...

Re: Former Landlord blackmailing us- what to do?

Hello Our former landlord and us were in the middle of a small dispute over cleaning and decorating of our formally rented house. The landlord threatened to charge us for his time if we did not use his preferred professional decorating services and professional cleaners. When we advised that this s...

Re: How Can anyone vote Tory next week?

Easily! It’s a local election and the figures speak for themselves. Tory Wandsworth is extremely well run and I don’t see any reason to change it. Perhaps you prefer Lambeth’s money wasting tactics, badly run services , 12 million spent yearly on debt repayments! Things are falling apart along the ...

Re: How Can anyone vote Tory next week?

Don’t get me started on lying… You mean how the Labour Mayor Mr Khan LIED he would scrap £15 7 day a week congestion charge he sneaked in under Covid and without consultation !! It’s was “temporary”, then promised to Be scrapped in mayoral election when he felt threatened , now he’s apparently got ...

Window installers

I would be immensely grateful for any recommendations for window companies. We have a set of French doors in the loft which are rotting and need replacing.  I don't want to use Everest/Britelite etc. But most local companies are quoting silly prices. Does a reputable, personally-run, but affordable ...

Re: How Can anyone vote Tory next week?

Very good question. The local Tories are telling a lot of lies locally, as well as nationally.  1) Labour or LibDem could NOT raise council tax by more than 3% without a local referendum. This means £20-50 more per year. NOT £hundreds. 2) The Wandsworth Tories don't tell you that neighbouring Tory b...

Re: 21 year old asked out by a 52 year old. Surely not on?

I am 54. During lockdown, I was asked out by a 31 yr old, and a long relationship ensued.  That gap was big, but disappeared after a few weeks. 21 "feels" very different to me, without being able to provide logic as to why. I think it is to do with life stages..21 is at university or just ...

Re: I want a home birth but husband against. How do I get unbiased information?

Firstly, congratulations! What an exciting time. Your birth options depend a lot on your risk factors but also about the communication between you and how you can get fully comfortable with either option. The statistics exist but I can no longer find them. They are also incomplete because they don’t...
