Piano teacher

Looking for a piano teacher to introduce my two boys, aged 4 and 5, to actually playing the instrument (they currently just bang it). An hour a week. No long-term commitments yet as want to see if they take to it. The younger one seems more interested than his brother. We live in SW18. Please email ...

Re: Bedwetting

Thanks everyone. Two weeks in and alarm still not waking him but we get there quickly after it goes off. He finishes in loo and holds rest til morning. Marginal gains. Perseverance and a cheerful attitude right?

Re: Nanny wanted

Our wonderful nanny Eliska is looking for a new job from September. She has looked after our two boys for two years and was their nursery assistant previously. She is utterly reliable, has initiative and a great work ethic and we are sad to be losing her but the boys will both be at school from Sept...

Re: Bedwetting

Thanks. We'll give them a try if Chummie doesn't work. Did you son wake up with the alarm in the first couple of weeks or did you have to wake him? Our issue seems to be the noise of the alarm not cutting through the sleep coma

Bedwetting

My 5 yo son has never been dry at night (his younger brother is and we used exactly the same methods). The problem is he is such a deep sleeper, he doesn't wake when he wets the bed or even after. He desperately wants to be out of pull-ups esp before Year 1. We've just started using a bed wetting al...

Re: Allfarthing school

It was 255m this year. I know because we just missed out. There is another reception class being added for Sept 2015 though but I can't see it adding much more than 100m given the number of siblings

Re: Wandsworth council condones temporary rental to secure p

UPDATE: the council has revised its decision given our genuine intentions and further supporting evidence that it is our family house. Hugely relieved and my faith in local politics restored. Our local councillors were fabulous. Thanks for all your comments

Re: Wandsworth council condones temporary rental to secure p

We used the permanent one in Earlsfield ie our family home. There is nothing in the Wandsworth admission booklet that says the child has to be physically resident. It just says permanent address. In case of divorced parents, this would be the place that the child spends most time but there would sti...
