Want to recommend this company who helped me: www.the click support.com

Hi - I wanted to recommend this company who came to my house and helped to set up my new Mac and transfer documents etc and ensure lap top and Mac were synced.  As someone who runs a business from home this was invaluable - nice guys and a speedy response.

Re: Another 8% fee increase at Hornsby House school

But aren’t the more expensive schools all the non charities ie owned by private equity or creaming a profit off for the owner, with associated tax implications of a non charitable status? I think only HH and Finton are charities in this area and hence the most relevant comparison. Private schools w...

Re: Another 8% fee increase at Hornsby House school

Labour have said that if they win the next election they will remove the charitable status from private schools and therefore VAT will be payable, don't know if that will be at the full 20% but if that does happen I should imagine that will dramatically change the landscape of private education.

Re: Thurleigh Road Surgery

Unfortunately I agree. We have been with the practice for 23 years and now looking elsewhere. They gave inaccurate vaccination history to my son and it was only with me stepping in and demanding to see the print out that it was resolved, he hadn’t been vaccinated for meningitis and was starting Uni....

Re: Thomas's Senior School Putney Vale

Yup new senior school opening on the site of Oliver House, it’s owned by the same group who purchased Eaton House Schools & Broomwood Hall etc (and a lot of other schools in London!). They seem to be a fairly slick outfit with plenty of cash so hopefully they will put together an excellent senio...

Re: The Orthodontic Practice Battersea - your experience and opinions please

Absolutely get a second opinion. This sounds like a Victorian contraption and three children through orthodontics and we never had this for all sorts of over crowding issues. We started at this practice but moved to one that worked better for us and our children.

Re: The old petit bateau is going to become…

It’s because the demographics of the area have changed over the last few years. People are not moving out of the area so the average age group is rising hence the need for more opticians and less baby shops. No more nappy valley, more apt ‘Granny Valley’. But seriously this is correct. People are no...

Re: Builders over using our loo, help !!

You can’t ask them not to poo!! Where else should they go? Put a portaloo in your garden it will cost x but save you from having this conversation with them and avoid them leaving site for set periods a day to undertake their natural bodily functions at a cafe etc.

Re: House price fall prediction of 10 per cent?

It’s already affecting this area with properties over the last couple of weeks not selling compared to historical figures. I think this area will certainly be affected with the economic climate large financial institutions are looking at staff cuts many of whom will employ people who live round here...

Re: Daughter's best friend and family quite religious and she is asking why we don't pray

With the greatest respect this is ridiculous. As a parent of older children if you think you can (or should) control every friendship your child has to ensure any they do have mirror your views, I think you will end up with a very isolated child which I’m sure is not what you want. Surely you want a...

Re: How much do you think I can expect schools fees to increase by

The reality is that everything is going to increase in price, the cost of living crisis affects everyone and every sector. Schools are having to pay more for their fuel costs, food and supplies so of course they are going to increase their fees to cover this, meanwhile your costs will increase. As s...

Re: Thurleigh Road Surgery

Major problems seeing any GP at the Thurleigh Road Practice I honestly think it’s the admin staff rather than the GP’s. This practice has really gone down hill which is such a shame as it was brilliant but we have experienced losing test results, cancelling appointments, failure to follow up on tele...
