Re: GCSE results for Nappy Valley schools

I agree powderpuff they do all seem off the scale. I don't know about all of the schools selection processes in detail but I don't think Bolingbroke is selective and has achieved way above national average in spite of this.

Big well done to our students and our local schools i think.

Re: Recommendations on plantation shutters

We have shutters from The Traditional Shutter Company and are really pleased. We got a few quotes but this is a local, family owned business and they own their factory so were able to be v competitive.

Re: A Level results for Nappy Valley Schools.

Wow what amazing results. Congrats to pupils and schools alike. I'm sure the result of a lot of hard work.
@livegreen couldn't agree more re Bolingbroke. What a wonderful first set of results. We should be very proud to have a such a strong state school on our doorstep.

Re: Timothy West sells family home on Spencer Park

I agree, thanks gossipgirl (love the name!). In our fast paced world it's lovely to know that there are many who have cherished their family home for 50 years.

Re: Interior designer recommendations

Try Clara Bee recommended to me by a friend and did a lovely job for us a couple of years ago. Lovely ideas and didn't make me feel that our budget was too small.

Re: Husband invited his dad on our family holiday without asking

I would think that you should probably embrace. Possibly use to your advantage, a couple of nights or even a days babysitting?  My only advice would be to make sure that your husband knows that is still your holiday too and that you don't expect him to disappear off to entertain his father.  A good ...

Re: New vet coming to Northcote Road

I think it is the end of Aug. Lots of interest at the Northcote Fete on Sunday but looked like still lots of work needed to be done inside. Looking forward to having another Vet in the area.

Re: Northcote Road Festival line-up and number of stalls revealed! Sunday 14 July

Is there a list of stall anywhere? I was hoping that the espadrille people might be attending again? Can't see a list when I click through to the link? Could anyone advise? Thanks?

Re: dishonest about bursary application

I think that I would have to say something. It is fraud and denying someone who has genuine need of a place. I don't necessarily think that the son will lose his place, I am sure that the school would want to protect him from his parents actions. With regards to your friendship, I am not sure that I...

Can't keep up with extravagant fortieth parties

I am probably getting things out of perspective but I'm becoming seriously intimidated by the expensive birthday parties that we are being invited to. My children go to a local private school and I knew everyone would be comfortably well off but I hadn't realised how well off until this last academi...

Re: Is my husband being led astray?

I think that I would be a little concerned bit only because something similar happened to a cousin and her partner about 18 months ago and they nearly split up over it. He was obviously nearing his mid life and loved the party party scene as a welcome break from his home life obviously using his fri...

Why was Wandsworh Common roped off by police yesterday evening?

Does anyone know what happened yesterday on Wandsworth Common - Bolingbroke Grove side? It was all roped of with police tape and there looked to be forensics there? It wasn't there at 4pm but it was I  about 7pm?
