Why was Wandsworh Common roped off by police yesterday evening?

Does anyone know what happened yesterday on Wandsworth Common - Bolingbroke Grove side? It was all roped of with police tape and there looked to be forensics there? It wasn't there at 4pm but it was I  about 7pm?

Re: Marriage ‘coach’

Ferndale in Balham are OK. I've heard people rave about them and others less positive. The main problem I think in these sort of situations (and this is what happened to my father) is that he just didn't think the counsellors were particularly smart or worthy of his attention and that made it very d...

Re: Friend wants to bring another family friend on our holiday

Thanks everyone for your replies. I think the couple of nights idea might be the best option. I'm not good at speaking my mind. The bedroom thing was addressed by my friend when she asked the question. Although there isn't room for her on paper there is room if the kids share and although I think th...

Friend wants to bring another family friend on our holiday

I have a regular week away in Devon booked in a couple of months time with a friend and our respective families. However yesterday she emailed to ask if it would be ok if an old family friend, who will  be visiting from the States, tags along too. I don't know this friend, and don't want to be mean ...

Re: new fitted kitchen advice please

I don't think it is cheeky at all. I think that people are increasingly doing 'portfolio' work and sourcing different things from different suppliers. Don't pass up on the opportunity of using your discount but do obviously check that the appliances will be the right size etc.

Friend losing a worrying amount of weight

A good friend of mine has recently lost a lot of weight. She was never 'large' by any means but like a lot of us probably coveted losing that half a stone to make her feel a bit better. However having gone on a health drive she now looks worryingly thin.  I have done the 'don't lose more weight you ...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

I do think a vet practice is a good shout. There are so many families with dogs in the area it must take an age to get an appointment at one of the few existing ones.

Re: Mole removal

The Cadogan Clinic on Sloane Street does mole removal. I haven't been there for this procedure so can't comment specifically but I have seen John Ferguson for another skin matter and would recommend him.

Re: Dog-sitter

The Dogfather is great. 2 of my neighbours use them and I always note how friendly they are to the dogs when they pick up, drop off etc. They have a kennel too but I think it must get quite booked up as another friend (I recommended DF to her) left it to late to book last year, she also uses them fo...

Re: Left out of a girls holiday to Ibiza

I’m so sorry you find yourself in this awful position. I guess there are some practical reasons why you might not have been invited. Space being the most obvious. I guess if you haven’t been able to meet up maybe your (not so kind) friends assumed that taking a family villa to save cost might be pre...

Debenhams in Wandsworth to close

Not sure if its the Clapham Junction or Southside branch although my feeling is it would be the CJ one? Very sad indeed for all of the staff whichever one it is.

Re: Archer Street - Does a Soho Rule Book work on Family Friendly Northcote Road

Have to say all seems a bit odd to me, especially if as you say it was only half full.
