Explaining economics: request for help

Hello Are there any economics grads out there who might be willing to explain some macroeconomic concepts to me in easy to understand terms? I feel a tad embarrassed, particularly in my line of work and at my age, that I cannot quite grasp them but every time I try, I keep going around in circles. C...

Re: Please VOTE in the European Elections on 23rd May, and vote REMAIN!

@windmill26 Is that so? Thanks for pointing that out to me, very helpful. I do have issues with how even the post title from Guy 673 has been politicised, so hard to avoid even if not opened. This site should remain apolitical if it is to maintain its worth in my view and hopefully the majority of o...

Re: Please VOTE in the European Elections on 23rd May, and vote REMAIN!

@Guy673 I think you miss the point of NVN by a very wide margin. There should be no room for individuals’ use of this platform as a political soapbox. It should be used as a forum for a community to help each other out, not as a medium for people to express their political opinions through long wind...

Re: Any takers for FREE puppy food?

Hello Souxie

I am so very sorry but this dog food got ‘snapped up’ a couple of weeks ago. I really should have taken down this post, but with only the one reply to it (until now), I overlooked to...again, sorry to disappoint.

All best wishes

Any takers for FREE puppy food?

We have 34 tins of Lily's Kitchen Puppy Recipe if anyone would like to take them off our hands...for free of course! It's just that our dog has grown up and is no longer a puppy. Fyi, the date on the first tin I have pulled out is BB 29.11.20, so still a very long shelf life to go. First come, first...

Re: Views on Nightingale Montessori 1 on Ramsden Road?

I second twingirlsmama. My child is now 8 but she had such a happy time there. We still greet the staff in the street and she keeps up with some of her friends from those days who are now at other schools.  At Nightingale the children were not drilled and didn't get 'homework' or daily 'reports' (un...

Re: Mini cab company recommendations - to take a woman in labour to hospital

One local woman actually gave birth (unexpectedly) in a black cab. And the driver wouldn't accept any payment for the journey, and then returned to the hospital to bring her and the new baby home again.
So I recommend a black cab.

Advanced Excel 1-2-1 tuition needed

Can anyone recommend an Excel coach for 1-2-1 tuition? Am pretty much on top of the basics but would like to take this to an advanced level (eg. pivot tables, macros, database skills etc.). Must be patient and clear at explaining things...thanks!

Help with tree ID needed

A bit left field this, but I am ashamed about my distinct lack of knowledge about tree names. I have tried various books and apps to up my knowledge but to no avail. Ideally I would like to be taken around one of the Commons and have various species pointed out to me - might anyone know of any knowl...
