Re: I don't want to feed my son meat but my husband is insisting.

If you and/ or your husband are concerned it would probably be best to seek professional advice from a dietitian or even a GP. But there is growing evidence that a vegan diet is the healthiest diet. I have recently started eating vegan (kind of / when it suits!) purely for health reasons and I am so...

Re: want to move my family back to Aus

Hi, This isn't exactly a solution but hopefully some reassurance. I'm in the opposite position- Brit living in Australia (couldn't bring myself to cancel NVN emails when I moved 4 years ago!). Myself and most other Brits are missing home so much more now that we can't just hope on a plane and fly ba...

Re: Grandmother in Australia

Victoria is charging $3000 for enforced quarantine now. I think all states are. It's returning to Australia that they're very strict about so hopefully if it's just a case of moving someone back to the UK it will be slightly easier.

Re: can i take my family overseas away from elderly grandparents?

Hi, Congratulations on the job offer! I live in Australia with my husband and 2 young kids. There is a huge British expat community here and I think everyone would agree there are pros and cons of making the move, but overall it's well worth it. Like others have said, consider the reasons for the mo...

Re: Tramp in local coffee shop

Maybe try chatting to him and find out why he's in the state he's in? Maybe offer him money to pay access to a local leisure centre so he can have a shower?

Re: dishonest about bursary application

It doesn't just have to be about whether it would affect you as an individual but also whether it would affect other families who could genuinely benefit from a bursary. I'm sure there are plenty families who would love to be able to send their children to the school but genuinely can't afford it so...
