Re: Which private health provider do you choose?

We have cover through work but years ago I had to organise my own. I was advised to go through a broker and that was really helpful. They will do all of the legwork for you and supply a variety of options with costs. Good luck!

Re: Advice for suing my freeholder

I don't have any advice to offer as such but naming and shaming seems to work every time on national TV. I would tell the agent that this is what you plan to do and see if you can get them to add some weight to your plight. Alternatively, can you deduct a fair amount from your rent until it is sorte...

Re: Stoned teenagers slumped on Bellevue Road

My children are younger so I am very naive about this age group but is it usual to not know where your children are at this age? 12 sounds very young to have them slumped on a pavement and stoned and not have a clue about it?

Re: Coffee Machine Recommendations

We also have a Nespresso machine - the Sage one which allows you to heat milk via wand but is all part of the same machine. It gets the milk v hot which we like. Has been very reliable. Bought in J Lewis.

Re: Brunch venue suggestions

You mentioned that you have been to Meghans on Bedford Hill, there is also one on the Pavement, Clapham Old Town which has a very different feel and one down by Battersea Power Station too which might be a good option too.

Queens cake recipe?

Does anyone know where to find the recipe for the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebration cake? I think that there was a competition for an official cake?

We are having a street party soon and I would like to make one.

Many thanks.

Over the top party gifts

My son was lucky enough to be invited to a classmates football party earlier in the week. It sounded like an amazing time but I was astounded to see him come home with a adidas 2022 world cup football. He was obviously delighted but I can't help thinking it was bit over the top? They have to cost ov...

Bathroom supplier and fitter for a bathroom refit

Can anyone recommend a builder / company to fit a bathroom. It will be a total refit so a company that can take care of the plumbing, tiling, decorating would be perfect. Really struggling to find someone that can come this side of Christmas  :o

How do I broach the subject of being owed money with a close friend.

How do I broach the subject of being owed money with a close friend. We booked a shared villa for our two respective families in September. I offered to put everything in my name, pay the balance etc. and she said that she would transfer me their share. It is now the New Year and I haven't still rec...

Re: I have two boys and now really want a baby girl.

Thank you for your thoughts. I think that it as a bottom line I need to decide if I want 3 children and if yes, am I happy that this may be 3 boys. I don't want to bring a child into the world if I am going to be wishing that they were a different sex to the one I had hoped for. Many thanks also for...

I have two boys and now really want a baby girl.

Before anyone shoots me down I realise that I am already extremely lucky in that I already have two healthy children but I was extremely close to my mum and would love to have a daughter. It's just that I don't feel it is something that I can talk about as others aren't so lucky. I have read that th...

Re: how long do we put up with the classroom disruption before we say something?

Many thanks for all of your replies.  @be kind I am so very sorry for your loss and appreciate that my question must seem very superficial. In many ways I wish that I hadn't written it but obviously I had no knowledge of what you had to go through. To answer those who have asked how extensive the di...
