Re: Postnatal Care Retreat idea - Your help please

Hi I believe that there was something launched like this a fews back on the Kings Road in London, not sure if it is still there and if its not why not but it might be worth investigating. So sorry I can't remember anything more about it.

House price fall prediction of 10 per cent?

Reading this with interest, would be interested to know if others think it will apply in our corner of London too?

Re: Sister inherited life changing amount of money but angry my parents want to give me more of their inheritance

Always sad to read posts like these.

You've said that your parents want to leave more not all of their estate to you. Seems fair to me if your
sister has inherited such a huge sum.

It really is up to your parents.

Re: Ideas for multi family overseas summer holiday.

https://www.peligoni.com/
has been popular with some of our friends. Can't vouch personally but have seen it written up in the broadsheets often enough and been tempted just never quite got there.

Can I tell my sister she is no longer welcome to come and visit?

My younger sister who I had a fabulous relationship with when we were younger comes to stay several times a year. Each and every time she will verbally attack me for some reason or another; observations about how i look, lifestyle choices, parenting decisions. When she leaves I am always left feeli...

Re: Would you choose Let's Act or Stage Coach?

Mine did both back in the day, chopped and changed depending on what friends wanted to do.  I would say that Let's Act had the edge for me. The groups at Stage Coach were very big and I wasn't sure that my daughter didn't get a bit lost. DOn't think that you can wrong especially of he/she is only 6!

Re: Clinically overweight friend in danger of being excluded

Thanks again everyone for all of your very helpful replies. I am going to try and amalgamate as many of the suggestions as possible. Take a problem of mine to her - I think that this is a good idea in terms of making her feel positive about her contributions to our friendship etc., ask her how thing...

Clinically overweight friend in danger of being excluded

I'm a long time member of NappyValleyNet and am hoping that this community might be able to advise. One of my closest friends is a large (clinically obese), very successful (professionally) single female who for as long as I have known her has struggled with her weight. She has had some successes ov...

Re: Sofa re-springing - any recommendations please?

I have heard good things about Lisa Perry in Clapham but it was a bit third hand ( the info not the sofa!). I also tried to do this a long time ago but ended up giving up as it was marginal as to whether or not it was worth it. You may have much better sofas that we ever did but in the end we bought...

Re: Bursary denied - Independent school

I can't help but I do feel for you. I've always thought that the bursaries were a little odd because someone who earns great money for the UK as a whole, say £80k, doesn't have a chance of putting their children through indy school, assuming they have to pay for everything else such as housing, and ...

Re: Orthodontist

I was at the dentist a few weeks ago and she said the NHS ones are really struggling as they can't afford the equipment (air purifiers etc) to enable a quick turnaround of patients. As such she felt like it was only going to get worse in terms of the backlog of patients. Sorry I can't be more helpfu...

How much for this house?

I've always dreamed of living in one of those massive houses that backs onto Wandsworth Common so I do tend to do a bit of property p*rn surfing. Dream house has come up but does anyone know if there is any way to find out how much it is? https://search.savills.com/property-detail/gbwarswas150147 I'...

Re: Next door vegan neighbours objecting to us barbecuing

I find this fascinating. The comment above there’s no such thing as the legal right to “use your house and garden as you wish”. You can generally use them as you wish - until you start impacting other people’s right to enjoy their own house or garden - and services like planning enforcement or envir...

Re: Next door vegan neighbours objecting to us barbecuing

I'm following this with interest and have to say I did struggle with the comparisons with burning rubbish or smoking cannabis, not because I know about these things but as one is illegal and the other a real nuisance I'd have thought they were different. I guess that means a hog roast is out the que...
