Re: Any insight on Belleville Wix Academy?

Positives- the majority of parents are middle class, so you will not see any fighting outside of gates or insult hurling , children will be mostly polite and nicely behaved, PTA is amazing, lots of events and effort put in, organic home made biscuits, posh chocolate at coffee meetings, What an awfu...

Re: A new MacDonald is coming to Wimbledon

What about Wimbledon town centre where there’s no Macdonalds at the moment? The one in Centre Court has gone. Rumours are that one will open in the old Burger King site?

Re: A sad start to Black History Month

I’m fairly speechless at this post. As others have said, it shows complete ignorance about the purpose of Black History Month and there’s some sort of implication that this person, who happened to be black, should have towed the line because she was black and it’s Black History Month?! There’s also ...

Re: School advice needed please

You would need to speak to pupil services at Lambeth Council. All these departments are still working so transfer is certainly possible at the moment.

Re: School advice needed please

It’s tough for you. Where abouts are you? Your first port of call will be the local authority for advice. They’ll be able to tell you which schools have places in the year groups you want. There are lots of really good state schools locally.

Re: Emanuel School

seem to have created a huge concern for the ‘wider community’ and pupils of other ‘local’ schools at the cost of a complete indifference to it’s own current pupils.

What do you mean by this?

Re: Advice on how to transfer out of independent school into state

Sorry to hear things are tough. By next year, do you mean September 2020? If so, this may be tricky for a reception child as you’d be a late application. Admissions are managed by the local authority (though church schools are responsible for their own admissions - you still apply via the LA). You b...

Letting agency - please help!

I need to rent out my property in Clapham and am looking for recommendations for an effective and efficient letting agency. I would want the property to be fully managed.
Thank you.

Re: What has happened to Nappyvalleynet

Thanks for listening to the feedback and for making some changes so quickly. I also use the site a lot less. The thing that’s put me off is all the adverts which seem to dominate the site. You almost have to wade through them to find a thread. I much preferred the original layout where the recent po...

Re: Small house move

Thank Balhamite. Definitely like the idea of a company who will pack, store, move and clear!
