Re: Wandsworth Schools Consultation - Question

I think that this is a very fair solution to the new proposals and for my family, a great relief if it is implemented.

Re: Parents to be consulted over plans to change sibling rul

BUT what about the families, such as mine, who have not moved but due to a shrinking catchment siblings would not get in. Will the council be making this ruling just for new applicants? Does anyone know how we would stand legally if we were given a place under the old criteria? Do the LEA have to le...

My son doesn't attend one of the most sort after schools, this is why we got in living 915m away. Yet we lo...

Re: Parents to be consulted over plans to change sibling rul

It just makes so much sense to me to keep siblings together in school. It also helps with parents commitment to the school community. Helping out with different events, supporting activities etc would be even more complicated if you are trying to support two different schools.

Re: Parents to be consulted over plans to change sibling rul

May be that should read it "it will make it even more awkward for me being a working parent". It does penalise all parents working or otherwise ;)

Re: Parents to be consulted over plans to change sibling rul

Due to a shrinking catchment at my Year 1 son's primary school, this ruling would mean that my 2 year old son would not get in to the primary school I was originally allocated by Wandsworth Council. We live 915m from the school. We have never "played" the system to try and get into a more ...

That is very interesting information about Graveney School, it seems that they are fully aware of the situation. Thanks for your thoughts and experiences, it's very reassuring to hear.

Starting to feel nervous about primary school 'big reveal'

Any thoughts on kids parties at Virgin Active S.Wimbledon?

Has anyone had any experience of going to or holding a party at the Virgin Active in South Wimbledon? If so, what are your thoughts? I' m looking for options for my son's birthday party and was quite keen on the bouncy castle and games idea.

Thinking of going part time, would you like our nanny 2 days

I have just returned to work full time after the birth of our second son. It is proving to be a little crazy so I am considering going part time from August. We have an amazing nanny who has been with us for 3 years now. She has looked after my first son from 7months and our second from when he was ...

After being rejected from 5 state nursery's in Earlsfield/ Wandsworth, I am now looking at private providers. Does anyone have any thoughts on the following: Noah's Ark, Colour Box, Sticky Fingers and Mousehouse?!! Many thanks in advance.
