Can you recommend a counsellor / therapist for a friend who’s marriage is breaking up?

A close friend has split up with her husband recently.  The circumstances regarding why she asked him to leave are quite messy, financially things are difficult and she’s working through the guilt associated with leaving him…. She would like to get counselling (not CBT but something deeper) via zoom...

Where do you send your child if you want private but not selective?

Hi, as far as I can tell pretty much all the private schools in SW18 and around are selective.....we are based in wandsworth.

if you don't want your child to go through these tests to get into a school or if they aren't the most academic child, what are your options? Thanks!

Child sometimes hurts herself when frustrated - advice on how to deal with this please...

Hi Recently, and on very rare occasions, when my daughter (who's 8) gets upset or frustrated (e.g. not getting her own way about something), she has started showing signs of trying to hurt herself. it doesn't last long, she normally blows up and calms down very quickly. Re: Builder recommendation for Side Return Extension

Hi, I'd thoroughly recommend MI Designs, run by Iwona. They are really curteous and considerate builders and deliver on time. They have completed numerous small projects around our house as well as installing a new kitchen for us. They didn't do our side return but have done many in the area. midesi...

Re: State secondary schools in wandsworth

I'm in a very similar position to original poster. rooting4tootking mentions Greycoat - I've just had a look and unless you have been attending church weekly for 5 years, it looks pretty much impossible to get into. And very far away. Does anyone go there from Wandsworth? And is a generally held vie...

Helping friend after the loss of her baby

hi all, devastatingly a friend's baby passed away. The pregnancy went well and it was only when he was a few days old that a lung issue was identified and sadly he passed away following surgery. So it's all very shocking and unexpected for her and her husband. And very difficult to know what to do o...

Re: Refurb of existing loft extension - any suggestions?

Hi I can thoroughly recommend MI Designs. In the interests of openness, it is run by a friend of mine, but they have done lots of work for us and we've been really happy with them. Iwona runs the 'front office' and her father and his team do the building work. They are really diligent and on time, f...
