Personally, I'd report it. He is in a position of trust, and may have lied. That's a serious matter. I think you should write (not call) the school and the Council to ask them to reconfirm the matter.

Yes it would. I once found out my children were at the Horniman Museum because i happened to call their nanny when they were there, which is miles from our place.

Time to have a chat about what you are comfortable with.

Our reception class had a classroom assistant, and I've always assumed she gave a hand where needed (perhaps wrongly - but there you go), but you should ask if you have any concerns about it. Otherwise you'll just worry!

I called Affleck services today on the basis of their post above at about 11am, and they said they'd call me back but never did. I am really not winning with roofers of any kind. Any other recommendations gratefully accepted for roofers - still have two leaks to fix.

If the nanny is on her phone for a long time or playing games, she's not keeping her eye on her charges nor is she being professional. I've also seen nannies ignoring the children they were supposed to be keeping an eye on. Once two nannies were so busy chatting, I had to chase one of their charges ...

Thanks for posting these links and information. This is a subject close to my heart as my two year cousin drowned in a neighbour's spa pool. I always encourage great vigilance around any pools or other bodies of water.
