Re: Jubilee in Bat Park. Ashamed of yourselves?

"More like the snob values seen at the old Wandsworth Common playground or in a Trinity Fields sports day!"

It was this statement I didn't understand. What are snob values seen at Wandsworth Common playground?

I didn't see the event you are talking about but could you clarify what "snob values" are at Wandsworth common playground?

Try Terroirs, french tapas. William IV Street between the gallery and charing cross. It's very good.

Re: New Wimbledon Theatre - Best seats?

There is a gap in the stalls just before mid way. If you get the middle of the first row after the gap there will be a good view especially with a booster. Row L I believe. Or as someone else said front row of dress circle which gives a great view of the entire stage and sets, however it might feel ...

Restaurant in Wimbledon needed

Could anyone recommend a lovely restaurant in either Wimbledon or Richmond for a Birthday meal.
Price is not important but it must be up market, serve great steak and some more interesting choices and be child friendly.
Any ideas?

Re: GAZETTE restaurant - AVOID at all costs!!

What cattiness are you referring to? You have advised people to stay away from a restaurant on a public forum, you must expect not everyone will agree with you. I haven't once made any personal attacks I have just tried to show that there might be 2 sides. Now you are calling people who disagree wit...

Re: GAZETTE restaurant - AVOID at all costs!!

"I'm not saying I'm more important than other customers. I'm saying the girls hadn't asked the staff to ask me to leave." In any restaurant it is up to the staff to ensure it doesn't get to the stage of another customer making a complaint. The staff may well have tried to pre-empt a complaint. The 2...

Re: GAZETTE restaurant - AVOID at all costs!!

"I think it's sad that some people feel that business meetings take priority over family life" Not one person has said that business meetings take priority they have said they are EQUALLY as important. And what does it matter whether the other customers were business people or girls looking a pictur...

Re: GAZETTE restaurant - AVOID at all costs!!

""The customer is always right" while not ultimately true , businesses tend to operate best and do well when they respect that as a philosophy. " This doesn't work in this situation I'm afraid because the reason she was asked to leave was because other CUSTOMERS were being disrupted. So, by making o...

Re: GAZETTE restaurant - AVOID at all costs!!

You say you would have understood the waiter asking you to leave if the restaurant had been full but there were only 2 other customers. So you admit it would have been annoying to other customers then. Why could you not have just taken him outside before being asked until he calmed down? Those other...

Re: GAZETTE restaurant - Fantastic Place!

Well done for writing something positive. I have never been to Gazette and have never even heard of it until that negative review was posted on here the other day. I think people forget too quickly that airing a complaint on line is not the same as sharing a review and people should really go throug...
