Re: ****** Addiction

Your poor woman. I am so angry on your behalf. My first instinct was to say tell him to pay up or you’ll tell everyone about his habit, but if he’s capable of withdrawing child support then god knows what else he might do. I would tell your solicitor. I can’t believe you’re the first person in this ...

Re: Dumped christmas tree caused me injury

Sorry you were hurt SP. No excuse for that reaction either - no one seems to want to say sorry these days in case they are sued...

Our tree seems to be the only one on our road not taken away. There’s no hedge and it’s clearly visible, unlike our neighbour’s which has gone. I’m livid.

Re: Not invited to best friend's party

Oh dear. Poor you (both). This has happened to us a couple of times and, whilst it seems like the end of the world at the time, I can’t even remember the children who did the not inviting now. When the kids were younger I always went the other way and slightly (ahem) controlled the guest list. Mostl...

Re: Awful gym moment

In would say the issues are entirely his and you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. How annoying that he’s ruining your leisure time though. If he so much as scowls at you again I’d report him to the main desk.

Re: 8yr old dreams to have a passenger experience in a super/hyper car!!

Not quite as flash as the cars you’ve listed but I saw this in the Week Juinor this week.

But if those cars are to his taste then possibly 10mph isn’t going to hit the spot!

Re: Bike recommendation for 5y

Agree Isla bikes all the way. You can take the pedals off so they can use them as balance bikes for a bit, then stick them back on once they’re confident. No need for stabilisers.

Re: Teenagers - mobile phones

So difficult isn’t it. I would like to say stick to your guns as you have this great rule in place already. But then does your child get known for being the boring one at sleepovers? Is it the fact they’ll be on them where you can’t see, or on them late at night? How old is your son? 17 is very diff...

Re: Caution: White Ferrari @ Speed

I would. Hadn’t thought about it from your location but Montholme Rd is the same - people speed up it to get to the other end quickly and then have flaming rows when someone keeps going from the other end. It would help a lot if all roads parallel to it were one way.

Re: Local Courier

Avoid DPD. I’ve had the same parcel arrive broken twice now in the last couple of weeks :x

Re: Caution: White Ferrari @ Speed

Good luck finding them, but even more luck getting them to take any notice - clearly they’re not stupid, just very selfish.

Re: Friend drinking and smoking whilst pregnant

I feel sorry for you HelpingFriend as I think you are just concerned for your friend. Unfortunately a lot of people on this site enjoy having a good go at the people asking genuine questions. Having said that you advising your friend is not going to help. She's made that decision. A lot of people ha...

Agree with petal. The kids can choose their own design and they stay on throughout countless washes.
