Re: fertility clinic advice needed

Highly recommend The Bridge Centre near London Bridge. It's small and personal.

Re: Can a solicitor mummy ever achieve a work/family life happy balance?

You poor thing having to make this decision. I have no experience of the law but after reading all these posts I am feeling very grateful for my 3 day a week, reasonabley-paid job. Sounds like you would really like to spend some time with your children and, from what people are saying, going down th...

Re: Brittle Star

Ok not so highbrow but anything by Liane Moriarty, and her sister Nicola's new book The Fifth Letter is fab.

Re: Help where to shop for clothes

Agree with above post re Mint Velvet, one of my favourites.
Next is great for convenience and now they've started doing labels it's even better. Just got to filter out the rubbish.

Re: Open day "rules"?

I found out at Woldingham last Sat that the exam is in Nov (has assumed it would be Jan like most others) and you hear by mid Dec, so this is worth checking.

Re: Laundry room - Where do you dry you clothes?

Doesn't reading a whole thread you're not interested in and then posting on it mean you have less of a life?

Can I ask if the heated rack still gives clothes that annoying line that non-heated ones sometimes do?

Re: Registry for baby shower?

I've only been to one as when my good friends were having babies it wasn't so popular. I agree with the posts comparing it to weddings. When you have a child it's not up to your friends to supply all the equipment. What's wrong with the lovely idea of buying a baby outfit (with gift receipt of cours...

Re: lycra cyclist short on well-endowed husband

I don't think you're overreacting at all. I would be mortified if my husband started dressing like that.
I'm sorry but it's basic self-awareness.

Re: lycra cyclist short on well-endowed husband

Personally I think both sexes should cover up that area with a longer t-shirt or a vest under t-shirt. Even if you think you can carry off that look we really don't want to see it thanks!

Hopefully now it's getting colder he'll wear a coat!

Re: Drink driving with a child

I have friends who have been where you are and come out the other side. This only happened when they accepted that they can NEVER drink again. EVER.

You've been given a second chance. You might not get a third or fourth so please take it.

Best of luck. You CAN do it. X

Re: 1st world problem Advice please.

Lots of sound arguments for and against but whatever, it's a lovely gesture and shouldn't be spoilt with any talk of the distant future. Especially if your wife has any post-giving-birth hormones hanging around!

Not sure this is a first world problem but more specifically an SW one!
