the other thing you can do is check the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) website for members.

Always check to make sure whoever you use is a member.

We used and absolutely recommend Oliver Morgan Architects

One of the best things we ever did was go for proper design rather than the usual bodge it n leg it type builders solution. Reckon the difference the result probably paid for itself 10x over
