Hi all - there's a meeting of The European Movement (SW London) at the Alexandra pub tomorrow

Anyone who thinks Brexit is a very bad idea and potentially calamitous for our children's future should turn up and see how they can help the campaign. Keep fighting everyone, it's not a done deal http://www.wandsworth.eu/social_wimbledon?utm_campaign=1dwu&utm_medium=email&utm_source=emwandsworth A ...

1 day without us events today in support of EU nationals - please share

There are various events today around the #1daywithoutus in support of our friends & neighbours who are EU nationals. This is actually at Clapham Common (I think) and there’s a party in Vauxhall this afternoon too. Would be grateful to anyone for sharing or tweeting the link :D http://www.1daywithou...

Re: Go on then, as it's Friday, political post. Required - smart, committed citizens to stand & Renew Britain #stopbrexi

That’s an odd comment???! I have zero political allegiance. Voted Tory in 2010 because I thought fiscal prudence was what was required in the wake of the financial crisis, I voted Labour last year, not because I think Corbyn’s a good idea, but because it improved the Parliamentary arithmetic against...

Evening all, sorry, me again, agitating, after a fashion, but some of you might be interested in this. Who else is mortified at the current state of British politics? Feels the choice in main parties between a hard-left Corbyn and a 'raped women shouldn't have abortions' Mogg isn't much of one? I li...

Re: Fantastic fresh seafood delivered to your door, sometimes by electric bike!

Hi Denwand, thought you’d been so routinely ridiculed by the good people of this forum that you’d found somewhere else to air your toxic opinions but here you are again, resorting to unprovoked attacks and insults. Oh dear. anyway… LFF is a joint enterprise, so out of respect for my partners, I won’...

Re: Fantastic fresh seafood delivered to your door, sometimes by electric bike!

My view on Brexit is I suppose, being heartened at the govt's continuing ineptness and there seemingly being a shift in both public opinion and the business community, towards it being an unconscionable mistake. I'm increasingly optimistic thanks SW11er!

Hello, looking for a childminder to collect our 2 girls from Allfarthing school on Thursdays & look after til 5.30

Our daughters are 3 and 5 and supercute (biased obvs :D ). We need them looked after from school finish until about 5.30, so two hours. I urgently need someone for this Thursday and it'll be a regular day for the foreseeable. We're quite likely to need additional days in the coming weeks too. We liv...

Re: Local food blog

Hi, yes that's me at Village Butchers, my members collect on a Friday or Saturday, and it's such a lovely family business with great produce, so I'd encourage any Southfields locals to support them. I also have another collection point at Eclectic coffee on Garratt lane in Earlsfield if that might b...

Re: Local food blog

Great blog Aaron, I've just read a fair bit and as a fellow Wandsworth-ite, look forward to your future missives on eating out. I run a very small, local fish box scheme called Faircatch that might interest you. Best, Guy www.faircatch.co.uk https://www.facebook.com/faircatch/ https://twitter.com/gu...

Re: March against Brexit to Parliament Square - 23rd June 2018 - date for your diaries!

That’s a pretty fatuous comment but much of what you say on here is a little unhinged rooting4tooting, however I do appreciate you giving my post more visibility. The wafer thin margin for leave was achieved :D with an unprecedented degree of lying, even the architects of the campaign have admitted ...

Re: March against Brexit to Parliament Square - 23rd June 2018 - date for your diaries!

I know Tootsweep, mental isn't it? All good though, Bring it on! If it does happen, it gives many of us an opportunity to try and persuade family who may have voted the other way (my in-laws did), to think again about the choices they are making on behalf of their grand-children. I didn't really bot...

Re: March against Brexit to Parliament Square - 23rd June 2018 - date for your diaries!

Thank you Windmill, hope you had a great time with your family and Happy New Year. :D Oh PS, you’re plumbing new depths – you’re perfectly entitled to your opinion, and to express it on here, what you’re not entitled to do is make repeated unwarranted, unprovoked and unpleasant attacks on people. Re: March against Brexit to Parliament Square - 23rd June 2018 - date for your diaries!

For once Denwand it seems we agree on something! You’re right, these little spats aren’t terribly edifying but if PS will persist in making unprovoked attacks on people, she can quite rightly expect to face some criticism. They do however have the side benefit of ensuring that many more people see t...

Thank you Tootsweep, I jolly well will! Will you be going on the march? (I know it's a long way away). If so, please do come with us, if you'd like. Either way Merry Christmas to you and yours :D
