Re: Home insurance when using your home to Airbn. Anyone any recommendations?

Airbnb offers comprehensive insurance to hosts (from memory it is something like $1m) for free. What exactly are you looking to insure in addition to that?

Wanted: Belleville uniform

Is anyone selling a Belleville uniform suitable for a tall nearly 4 year old girl? Just need a couple of pieces for when the school starts as they now closed for the summer. Don't mind if it's a dress / skirt or trousers / shorts.

Many thanks,

Re: Would you take a job if you knew you were pregnant with #2?

Hello, first of all congratulations. Second, a couple of suggestions: 1. Have a quick scan of "Lean In" by Sheryl Sandberg and a reminder about how many / how women talk themselves out of doing things. 2. A friend of mine got offered a big job (internal move) whilst pregnant. Yes she managed a big t...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

I have been told that Northcut, a lovely hair salon (I am biased) is moving to the unit where Crewroom was from where they are now, further down Northcote Road. I am a loyal customer as they are great and extremely well priced - there is a thread on NVN where several loyal customers were highly reco...

Re: Mortgage broker fees

I think things have changed over the last 4 years as the competition for deals has heated up between banks, Michael Illston above has contacted me about some amazing deals available with no broker, legal or arrangement fees. So I still recommend him! Please note I have no personal association with h...

Re: Getting your haircut with a baby?!

Northcut on Northcote Road have always been fantastic with babies, although better to come during the week when it's a little quieter. They do kids haircuts as well, very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Rebecca (there is a thread on NVN of her regular customers raving about her), she is amazin...

Re: Northcote Road restaurant ideas?

Sinabro is great but quite pricey and quite small inside - same issue with Bababoom. Fixed is simple and very tasty but somewhat lacking in atmosphere. If the owners are reading this, would you please remove some tables so it wasn't so crammed? Whilst it's still quite empty most days, it's deterring...

Re: Please, help me to make a decision

Hello Lollypop, Thank you for your message. Indeed i don't think they are, but I read many articles about how the children conceived with the help of donors feel, and not all of them cope well with it later in life. The advice is to tell children early so they know this growing up, and accept it fro...

Re: Virgin Media Fibre - Rubbish Service in SW11

In the same boat as other posters. Awful service over the last several months and it always seems to be another "area outage", many of which have lasted days at a time.

What can we do to put pressure on Virgin? I am not on Twitter but I hear this is an effective way of putting pressure on a company.

Re: Holidays in Croatia - ideas ?

Highly recommend Makarska. Nearly half way between Dubrovnik and Split, great beach and restaurants. Lots of self-catering options.
