Battersea Park fireworks are significantly cheaper though (£10 for adults and free for kids, vs. £15 for both adults and kids).

Finally went to Manifesto tonight.

The pizza was amazing, really miles ahead of anywhere else.

Unfortunately the place was virtually deserted, its decor is stark anyway, but with nobody there it really didn’t feel very welcoming.

Not sure Greggs counts as a “proper” bakery in my books...

It’s a branch of a Cornwall bakers, so they do lovely pasties as well as bread, pastries, cakes, quiches etc.

Friendly service and fair prices too.

There’s now a proper bakery on Northcote Road!

Warren’s Bakery at 91 Northcote Road has opened over the Summer, and it looks like a nice addition to the area.

Jan at 78 Northcote Road has closed down, just days after the relaunch. Site has been repossessed by the landlord.

With Latchmere you now apparently have to attend an assessment, which is held on Saturdays -- reception should have a list of available slots. You will then be offered a space in a suitable class. For younger kids IKEA's Tuffing bunk bed is great -- the top bunk is lower than usual, making climbing in and out safer.

It's not particularly stylish, but sturdy and cheap.

Yes, it's excellent, both my sons went there and were very happy. It is ideal for younger children, for older ones I found it helpful to combine it with a school nursey, which will help them with transition to reception. That Ofsted rating surprises me -- if anything, the current manager has brought...

I find the large slab of meat hanging in Marcellaio's window really off putting, which is a shame as I love Tapas. The window display (really their meat curing room) is unsual, admittedly, but Macellaio is brilliant. Great food, excellent service, an absolute treat. They also do an excellent value ...
