Re: Fledgling on the Common

Yes, it's excellent, both my sons went there and were very happy. It is ideal for younger children, for older ones I found it helpful to combine it with a school nursey, which will help them with transition to reception. That Ofsted rating surprises me -- if anything, the current manager has brought...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

I find the large slab of meat hanging in Marcellaio's window really off putting, which is a shame as I love Tapas. The window display (really their meat curing room) is unsual, admittedly, but Macellaio is brilliant. Great food, excellent service, an absolute treat. They also do an excellent value ...

Oh do you mean serving up as opposed to delivering?
Yes, apologies, badly worded.

Although it does look like they do deliver via Deliveroo.

Count me in if your pizzas are thin and crispy. The opposite of Franco Manca and Made in Italy would be good!
Buona Sera has been delivering exactly that for many years!

Re: Manspreading and Nappy valley houses' hedges

It can be reported using the amazing and free 'Wandsorth Report It' APP. Please do download it, as you can report graffiti, a host of street problems and also many rubbish issues (fly tipping, litter bins overflowing, dirty streets etc). It takes 30 seconds and the council then sort the problem ver...

Re: Recommendation great Bifoldable door supplier

Agree with boonkoh, Express Bifolds are good. They did ours almost ten years ago, and they're as good as new.

Re: Will Belleville fine for an unauthorised absence in Reception?

I would think it is unlikely that you'll be fined, given the near-perfect attendance record.

How should I broach the subject - let them know ahead? Or post factum? I do not intend to lie about the reasons.
I would let the teacher know, it is helpful for them to be aware.

Re: What has happened to Nappyvalleynet

I can only agree: The new front page is basically just ads, it's hard to find any interesting new/active threads, and it's a pain to use on mobile.

Re: ULEZ Expansion Announced

My problem is not with the daily charge, or the impact on older, non-compliant vehicles (and my car is affected), but the fact that the boundary is going through a densely populated residential area, with a massive increase in pollution. It seems that the consultation responses shared this concern, ...

Re: Permission for a park picnic?

I'm afraid this is not correct. Enable, who manage Wandsworth Common on behalf of Wandsworth Council, say this on their website: "If your event involves fewer than 50 people you don’t need special permission but you must consider and abide by the following: * You may not put up a gazebo or any other...

ULEZ Expansion Announced

The expansion of the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) from October 2021 has just been announced by the Mayor. From then on, it will cost £12.50 per day to drive into the zone with a non-compliant vehicle. The main issue, however, is that the southern boundary will be the South Circular -- meaning all ...
