Re: Playdate and coffee?

Go to the Stay & Play sessions at Fledglings on the Common, the former One O'Clock Club off Chivalry Road, just behind the playground with the yellow slide. It's a brilliant nursery in the mornings, but open to all in the afternoon. Great place for the kids to play, inside and outside, and for paren...

Re: Birthday gifts going rate?

At this young age, where normally the entire class is invited, it's well worth teaming up with a few other mums and getting one larger present -- makes everybody's lives much easier, as the child won't be swamped with 20-30 presents.

It's not a window display, but their dry-aging room, and the butcher section is right behind it. The meat is brought over from Italy and dry-aged on site.

Re: proposed new boundary-low emission zone

you may find that your diesel registered in August 2015 ,and only just over two years old They will be six years old when this is introduced. The air quality figures around here are shocking, and I can't really find fault with trying to improve it. (And I drive a non-exempt diesel, so will have to ...

If you have a petrol car manufactured after 2006 you'll be exempt.

If you have a diesel car you shouldn't be using it for such short runs anyway, as it emits NO2 and particulates that are hugely damaging to your children's health.

Re: proposed new boundary-low emission zone

It seems to me that the main impact on local residents will not be the cost of driving into the ULEZ -- after all, all petrol cars manufactured after 2006 will be exempt --, but the fact that all the highly polluting non-exempt cars and vans will be routed through the heart of Wandsworth. Hardly ide...

Macellaio is absolutely brilliant, great food and outstanding service -- well worth trying if you haven't been. A great addition to Northcote Road.

Re: Star Wars - The Last Jedi

There's nothing scary, no "real" violence, no bad language, etc -- so any age really.

The only issue is that it is utterly, utterly boring and far too long.

Re: Respondents said Wandsworth is 'snooty'. Fircroft Primary School disagrees. What do you think?

Apparently this is based on "an online survey asking 400 Londoners from all 32 boroughs" -- or just 12.5 people per borough. Not nearly enough to be statistically relevant.
