Re: How many former Tory voters in Battersea or Merton will be voting differently this time?

Guy, there were good interviews on Radio 4 this morning with people in the fishing industry today and Scotland, all giving a massive thumbs down to the Common Fisheries Policy, so I still find it bizarre Guy that you are so pro-EU since we have a totally bum deal and everyone in the fishing industry...

Re: How many former Tory voters in Battersea or Merton will be voting differently this time?

One thing I find really frustrating that nobody mentions is why the UK isn't demanding and getting our fair slice of resources from Brussels in Brexit negotiations. We've been one of the biggest contributors into the Brussels machine with all of its staff, expertise and infrastructure since the 1970...

Re: How many former Tory voters in Battersea or Merton will be voting differently this time?

That is what I thought too Denward about the UK fishing industry, which is why I am surprised Guy that you are so massively Remain what with you and your family being in the fishing industry yourself - ok, selling rather than catching but still.... The UK has a really bum deal from the EU over fishi...

Re: How many former Tory voters in Battersea or Merton will be voting differently this time?

Guy, who started this thread are you the same Guy as the very nice fish box family? If so, I've bought fish from you but I am amazed that you are so pro-Brussels because our UK fishing industry has an appalling deal from Brussels, while other countries in Europe have vast rights to fish in UK seas. ...

Re: Help London flat too BIG!!

I would re-style the living-room as it currently looks very open and unwelcoming with those two black leather sofas at one end focused on the tv over the other side of the room with the spindly looking metal table near the door. There is a lot of unused space there. Potential buyers can be really un...

Re: Husband has no friends - help

I also wouldn't worry unless you think it is a symptom of him being unhappy. Perhaps he is just less of an extrovert than you and prefers hanging out at home when he's not working. My husband spends so much time at work and work-related events that he isn't very interested in socialising at the week...

Re: New shop on Trinity Road by Brinkleys

I suppose it was hard for Paloma to compete with the fantastic Meze further down Trinity Road and it didn't look very inviting (to me). I got a few take aways from old Indian place with the brown awnings (can't even remember it's name now) but haven't been there for ages - again - there is so much s...

Re: General election - vote for staying in EU?

I'm confused. Are Seb and Rooting4Tooting the same person? They must be, otherwise why start mirrored threads?

the garden gurus and belderbos landscapes - anyone used?

If anyone has used either the Garden Gurus or Belderbos Landscapes I'd love to hear what you thought of them. I'm thinking of getting one of them to a major gardening project and don't want to stuff it up, so any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks and have a great Easter.

Re: Norfolk - advice on areas

My vote goes to the Cley-Wiveton-Blakeney area. We started out renting in Blakeney every year since 2005 and ended up buying our own place in Cley village next to the windmill for holidays because we love it so much. Our place has 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom and has been fully renovated so ...
