Daughter is keen to learn something other than piano but I agree I should only buy of she is committed. Will visit Northcote Music s...

On above number, I can highly recommend my cleaner Patriczya who lives in Tooting Broadway and has some availability throughout the week and works in Balham and nearby. She has been with us for almost 2 years and is very reliable and efficient and entrusted with house keys.

Re: Simply Extend / Builder Team - any views ?

Basically, a lot of the problems with these companies are due to subcontracting workers. So there is a chain of people earning and very low paid labourers actually doing the work. And lack of accountability as a result when the boss of the company is so far removed from the project.

Re: Simply Extend / Builder Team - any views ?

We used them 5 years ago and they did an okay job in the end but I wouldn't recommend them. Simply Extend gave us a what seemed a good value quote but there will be hidden extras and also sloppy work, low skilled workers and workers not showing up and going over the agreed timescale.l for completion...

Re: Do well paying decent part time jobs exist? And how do I find those?

Someone recommended "2to3days.com" for professional part time roles geared towards mothers. Personally I'm not there yet, but will be looking around soon for something that works for our family.
Good luck!
