Re: Save Balham Bowling Green: Planning Objection

Thank you. I'm on the Tooting Bec side of Nightingale but absolutely can see that the green space should be preserved in that part of Balham although I still can't picture where it can be accessed from. Does sound like it has been deliberately neglected with a view to sell it off. There is a lovely ...

Re: Advice on pupil behaviour needed

I Would contact the headmaster with a general complaint citing that incident and any others and ask what steps he will take to ensure good behaviour outside of the school. If you and others complain they are much more likely to address it. Me and a few others complained to Ernest Bevin for separate ...

Little Village charity - what to donate?

Does anyone know how I can find out which items are needed this month and next?

I am having a massive clear out and have plenty of good quality outgrown clothes and equipment toys and books.

I know they post a lot on Facebook but I don't have an account any more.

Re: Sofa recommendations

These were brilliant recommendations. We decided on a sofa, armchairs and footstool from Love Your Home in Goldalming. Such a beautiful range and lovely service. Very pleased all round, so thank you all for your input in helping us decide :)

Re: Mother attacked for Rolex as her children run screaming for help

I'm sorry but what is "namby pamby" about what I posted? do you suggest I get my news from Breibart??? I wasn't excusing any crime I just abhor the complacency of people here ( oh look at my cheap council tax, I'm so smug I can afford a rolex) who don't hold the politicians to account for their poli...

Re: Sixth Form Physics and Maths questions

If you are able to pay, I can recommend David Game College in Tower Hill. It's an outstanding sixth form with many International students but also a good proportion of British children whose parents wanted them to do better than what the local schools offered. My sister taught Maths and Physics ( sh...

Re: Buying around Streatham Common

I have heard Dunraven is a great secondary school. I don't know Streatham that well but have used the Leisure centre, it's ice rink and pool and it's brilliant. Many houses there have driveways: annoying for outsiders looking for a space to park but not an issue if you live there. I have met lovely ...

Re: Mother attacked for Rolex as her children run screaming for help

Which is why we need more funding for youths. Not closing youth clubs and mentoring services. I know of many that shut down since 2010 in North Kensington. Ironically Cameron etc lived there a few minutes walk from Grenfell tower. I don't see this situation improving unless there is radical change i...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

Whenever I go to Northcote Road I buy fish from the fish from the fish van. You can really taste how fresh it is - the fish and shellfish knock the socks if anything you'd buy in the supermarkets. Perhaps if everyone buys from them they will have a shop again. To be honest Northcote rd reminds of Po...
