Re: Very angry at removal service from Burke and Wills

Did they break the chest or was the knob loose?

I don't think you can complain too much about not getting your items back from long term storage - that was your packing mistake surely?

Re: Nanny wants maternity pay

The HMRC guide is helpful https://www.gov.uk/employers-maternity-pay-leave

The nanny needs to give the employer her MATB1 certificate which provides proof of her due date

Re: Megan’s Balham - Worst, arrogant local restaurant experience

They have had a long queue all week
I suspect Milk are missing their lost trade

They told lots of fibs on social media about their opening being delayed by planning objections and about their late liquor licence

Re: Tinc is closing

The shop probably costs upwards of £15K pa without rates - you need to sell a LOT of pencil cases to make that money and pay staff, utilities etc

The Cath Kitson site was advertised at £90K pa
Hydrofit at £55K pa

Re: Emmanuel school

There are simply more kids - https://schoolsweek.co.uk/secondary-sch ... ulge-hits/

There are more people in London who want to pay for secondary than places for kids

I would recommend applying for state schools too

Re: guidance on over night babysitting rates please

Just a guess as I heard a nanny discussing this last week - normal hourly rate while she's up so say til midnight then half the rate until everyone gets up
What time would you be back the next day?

Re: Newton Prep or Hornsby House?

The main difference is Newton Prep goes to 13+ (although they do prep the kids for 11+)
Are you aiming at London Day schools for secondary or do you want boarding?

Hornsby only offers before school care from 7.45am and after school care or clubs end at 5.15 at the latest
No idea about Newton's hours
