Re: GAZETTE restaurant - AVOID at all costs!!

I think it's a bit unfair to avoid the place because a few posters have had a bad experience? I for one will go and check this place out with my two toddlers (!!!) so that I can make my own mind up. Come on everyone can have an off day. I had an awful first trip to Byrons Burgers and swore I would n...

Re: MMR and Autism Link

Peasepudding the original poster has never discouraged anyone from vaccinating their children ?? As I said in a previous post my son had a really bad reaction to the MMR jab. I would NEVER not vaccinate my children but with my son's medical history (and weak immune system) if I had known at the time...

Re: MMR and Autism Link

I am afraid I also think some of you are being a little too aggressive and a little unfair. I have re read all the posts and in none of them JSB is saying that you should not vaccinate children. She is just making people aware that there is an option and that not all children react well to the MMR j...

Re: interviews at Thomas'

TPTP I think you are probably right !!! I am sorry as I do admit that the whole "my child got into Thomas' and therefore he / she is very bright" its one of my bugbears ! I did SO much reasearch before deciding where to send my kids and Thomas' academic results are really no better than the ot...

Re: interviews at Thomas'

TPTP ... I am not normally someone that wants to argue a point on this website, but I am quite speechless. Do we really "live in a community that celebrates winning and whose young parents are the very epitome of winning" ?? I certainly do not want my children having these values and more to the poi...

Re: interviews at Thomas'

But do you really believe you can assess a 3 year old and do you really believe you can tell that a 3 year old would not "fit" in a school? And if siblings now automatically get in is it right to put other children through the assessment? Sorry I just still think the whole thing is so wrong. The Ass...

Re: interviews at Thomas'

I think there was quite a heated debate on this about a year ago when I was going through the whole school decision ! Personally I think its great marketing! If you get "selected" you believe that your have made it into an "elite" school. Whilst I really do not dispute that this is an incredibly goo...

Re: How many schools is enough?

Please please don't worry too too much about this. I put my daughters name down for 4 schools when she was 2 years old. We were on every single waiting list being told that we had no chance of getting a place at any of these. By February we had a place at 3 and in August we even had a place at the 4...

Re: Eaton house the manor girls school

I agree with the comments made by Claire M. I have a daughter at the girls school and could not be happier ! There is a great atmosphere amongst both children and parents and I think Mrs Segrave is a brilliant headmistress. Good luck and please send me a message if you have any more specific questio...

Re: Fantastic Customer Service

Another vote for Henessy!!! The loveliest people. And so kind with the kids....that piano must drive them nuts but they never seem to mind!!! I ALWAYS buy my meat from them. And the nice people at the dry cleaners Unicorn! Great service and always so friendly! And lastly Galleria Conti on Battersea ...

Magician for a 6 year old party

Hello ! Does anyone have any recommendations ? I have had a look on NVN but apart from Bertie and Boo (which I think are more for younger children) I haven't really found any recommendations.

Thanks !

Re: THINK BEFORE PURCHASING CLOTHES IN PRETTY PREGNANT

I think it's the case in most shops? But I could be wrong!

Re: mother in law Xmas nightmare

I also have the MOST horrendous MIL....we generally spend Christmas with my family but every few years, when my husband asks me, we have to have MIL at ours for Christmas. It means a lot to my husband. I have a terrible couple of days putting up with a lot of criticism and putting up with a person w...

Re: nanny bonus?

It's a tricky one. And personally I also think it depends how long she has been with you and how many days/hours a week she works for you. I had to go back to work and I could not have done it without my amazing nanny! She has now been with us 4 days a week for over 3 years, so we will definitely gi...
