Re: is the Priory Clinic any good?

My heart goes out to you having to deal with the conditions you list, and I post this with some hesitation after the first two very positive replies. However my partner has had a long term psychiatric issue for about 30 years, so we have known the Priory at Roehampton for a long time. 30 years ago i...

Re: Lawyer/Mediator recommendation for partnership separation

Not sure if this helps, but an extraordinarily, decent pragmatic lawyer that I have dealt with for years (though never on anything remotely like this) is Alexandra Adam at Gregsons in Wimbledon. One thing that really, really impressed me was when I wanted to start litigation over something that woul...

Re: Anyone has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or similar? Help needed!

My wife had what turned out to be post viral fatigue, rather than chronic fatigue - they look very similar, but PVF does pass. See http://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/Library/ppns/PPN1%20-%20Charging%20for%20Parking%20-%20Aug%202011.pdf On page 10 it is quite clear that since 2010 Councils have been allowed to determine their own priority for using the surplus. I don't know what they report, because I ...

Re: Wandsworth Parking Surplus over £20 million

The immediate, predictable response that it's a disgrace ....... If they were stealing the money and running away with it, then yes, it would be a disgrace. But if in fact it goes into general Council funds to be spent on other things, then surely one should specify how else the money should be rais...

Re: Can anyone help on writing a will?

If it needs a solicitor then try Gregsons in Wimbledon. Re the fees, as for a quote - it would probably depend on how complicated it was. They are a very sensible slightly old fashioned firm that I have dealt with for years and are looking at new wills for my and I right now.

Re: Husband won't help my sister with school fees

I am (a man) in a slightly analogous similar situation. I have an aunt in NYC and pay her care manager's fees (about US$70,000pa). Neither of her other nephews can afford to contribute. I am happy to do it, but know that the one thing that would make me resent it would be the slightest pressure or s...
