Re: Where are all the toddlers hanging out?

Also, we loved the Childsplay Brasserie in Tooting pre-Covid. It's like a cafe, soft play and a playroom combined. I see they accept bookings online. Great for younger kids.

Re: Where are all the toddlers hanging out?

A few more suggestions, perhaps a bit further afield:
The South Ken museums - they are great for little ones, although you have to prebook.
The National Army Museum in Chelsea - they have a small soft play - looks like that's now reopened
Battersea Park Zoo (weather dependent)

Bathroom refresh service?

Hi all, Our bathroom was done about 4 years ago and needs a tiny bit of a refresh: the shower seals need changing (we have new seals), there is a small spot where the grout needs to be touched up, and the silicone should be redone in a few places. It would be really helpful also if the grout around ...

Re: Winstanley and York Road Regeneration scheme shortlisted for planning award

This is wonderful news and as a BTC resident, I am most interested in the new leisure centre. Is there any chance that the planning office and the project could be a bit more specific about their plans?  Their website is sparse in information, a lot of the information on phasing is out of date. For ...

Re: Mouse house or Marmalade cat nursery?

So I had one child at Mouse House and one at Noah's Ark so I can't answer your question directly, but having experienced nurseries with both kids from a young age, I would go for a morning session. Kids are less tired and more open to new experiences in the morning - especially if this is the first ...

Re: Cost of new stairs? Any ideas?

We have just paid £9500 for a new staircase throughout. Five flights in Victorian style with spindles. I think cost depends on whether you go for pine or MDF or a combination of both.  Hi Neat64 - would you mind sharing whether you went for wood or MDF, and how many storeys was that? Also who you w...

Re: Can anyone paint a bathroom suite and tiles?

I have used Vitor recommended above for other jobs - he's good but relatively expensive. For  painting/decorating, I can highly recommend Andrius - he did lots of work for me and my friends. Painting a bathroom suite / tiles is a decorating job, it just means using a different type of paint. 07900 8...

Re: Moving to UK - Richmond?

Hi Nikky, I lived in Richmond "before kids" and absolutely loved it - the amazing park, great vibe, the river, not too bad a commute (depending on where you are going). As it's such a beautiful place, it's quite expensive; also, where you live relative to the station (depending on your or ...

Re: École de Wix vs Belleville Webb's

I am a parent of a daughter in Year 1 at Belleville, and my son is about to start nursery there in September. I agree with the previous poster that Belleville is a great school, and definitely has more clubs / activities / academic rigour (in English) than Wix at the moment.  However, if your object...

Re: Your experience of Bumblee Bee nursery or Noah’s Ark Cobham Close

I just posted this on the other post asking about Bumblebee vs. Mouse House, but reposting just in case: It's now been 3 years since my daughter has gone to Noah's Ark, so the info might be a bit out of date (back then, they only let them in at 2.5). However, two of my good friends have their kids t...

It's now been 3 years since my daughter has gone to Noah's Ark, so the info might be a bit out of date (back then, they only let them in at 2.5). However, two of my good friends have their kids there now - one is about to finish after two years there, and the other one started in January as a 2 year...

Re: Butterfly Preschool and Mouse House

Hello, my son went to Mouse Hole (and is now at Mouse House). Can't comment on Butterfly but I know people who have kids there and are very happy. My son really enjoyed Mouse Hole and settled quickly (starting at 2). I found the teachers great and I really liked that the kids went to the common all ...
