Re: Who else feels outraged about what councils have done to Wandsworth Bridge Rd and Streatham  High Rd

It’s because we are all meant to cycle or flap our arms and hope to fly where we need to go … Wandsworth are acting as if driving and parking is an illegal activity ! Roads are there to be made congested and to make up as many schemes as possible to fine people until they hopeful disappear… Bus lane...

Re: Consultation soon on plans for 13 new Quiet Cycling Routes across Wandsworth

Travelling by foot ?? You mean walking ? And you know that thing called pavement? It’s quite good for walking on and takes you wherever you need to go locally. Like magic eh? Maybe Wandsworth Labour money wasters can create a course for local residents to show them how to walk in case people don’t m...

Re: Whitgift & child safety

I think it's time to organise safe School routes, a bit like lollipop ladies but for secondary.
There should be a designated walking route from schools to stations with security .
Perhaps if all the traffic wardens could be used for this instead it would be a much better use of time for them!!!

Re: Clapham South violent assault

This is so worrying and sad to read.
Horrific.

I hope they manage to catch them!!

Police need to be visible and around stations at night, perhaps Siddique Khan has a response....but he's too busy organising LTN's.

Re: Whitgift & child safety

You can’t get away from the fact that Croydon is a crime hotspot, well above average for London. Even if true it can happen anywhere and sad fact of life in London, Croydon not only Has issues with knife crime but murder rates. If your child has reservations about going, maybe he’s got a point. It’s...

Re: Dog attack on young children in Battersea Park

This is a local story, nice try trying to make out its hysteria caused by tabloids. I don't know what it is with dog owners trying to smear people who are concerned as ignorant tabloid readers. I for one don't read them and when I played min-golf with my children last year a dangerous dog kept runni...

Re: Daughter wants to dye dog

Of course it’s nonsense.
The other day I saw an orange dog in north London and had to double take as it didn’t look right!
Ridiculous

Re: Dog attack on young children in Battersea Park

mamablu, I don’t follow your argument, are you saying we can’t as a society worry about small children being killed and attacked by dangerous dogs without it meaning we don’t care about other serious crime? Is a life lost less lost when it’s because a dog chewed your face off ? I hope we can live in...

Re: How much is too much arguing?

It’s obviously very subjective, so no answer on here will help you really. I guess the fact that you posted the question is enough to answer your question. More importantly, take the steps to address it. You have a small toddler, it’s quite normal to be tired/stressed/busy and become short tempered ...

Re: Dog attack on young children in Battersea Park

I think a ban should mean these dogs are removed from people and destroyed. End of. Otherwise, what is the point! Good dog owners, who are most probably not the ones with attacking out of control dogs, are the ones who have registered their dogs and use a muzzle. The irresponsible ones who use the d...

Re: Pocket money for 5 year olds?

Too young IMO for pocket money and small jobs. This is very young. If you can’t be carefree at 5 then when can you be ! Firstly because a 5yo doesn’t shop alone anyway, there is no need. Secondly, I am also against the idea of money for chores . It sends the wrong message, everyone in the family nee...

Re: Saying no to my sister?

If your dear sister loved you dearly back she would not disrespect your property and respect your rules. You don’t need to say no to her, you need to be honest with her! Clearly explain your reservations, that you worry she will smoke in your property and not respect the rules with regards to the po...

Re: Proposed change to Waitrose Balham Car Park - Automatic Number Plate Recognition

As for not liking to scan your own shopping and balancing it on a tiny useless scale .. I think I’m perfectly reasonable for not enjoying it for bigger shops!

Re: Proposed change to Waitrose Balham Car Park - Automatic Number Plate Recognition

Maybe they have more than one manager.
He spoke to me as if I’d committed a serious offence and “should pay the fine because I broke the rules”
I tried to speak to him twice !

Re: St Georges Hospital - CQC Maternity report

Slightly off topic, but close enough…
Does anyone have any experience of the gynaecology department?
I’ve been referred for a procedure and a bit worried.
Would love to have some feedback!
