Re: recycling a computer

Hi Clare74 I found some websites of companies that would take your computer for recycling but you have to pay a charge for this (around £40). We actually removed the hard drive from the computer and went to Wandsworth recycling centre on Smugglers Way intending to just throw it away; but actually we...

Re: How does adding a new baby affect a nannyshare financial

I agree with coolmum; as a lawyer I earn far less than that.
And why would the mum of two pay 10 pounds in a nanny share when she could pay the same (or even 9 or 8) for her own nanny? the share should remain advantageous for every party.

recycling a computer

Hi there, I have got an old PC (about 10 years old) that I would like to give away or recycle as I don't use it anymore. it is still in working order and
I don't want to just throw it away. are there any local companies that would reset it for reuse by schools for example?

recommendation for a removal company?

hi there, we will soon move within the nappyvalley area and are looking for a removal company. I'd rather pack myself and would just need staff to carry and drive on the day; sort of man and a van plus (with insurance). any recommendations?

Re: Venue for toddler's 2nd birthday?

try Eat Play Love, you can have a table reserved for about 10 kids and they can play in the play area which is very good for 1 to 3 year old. one of the cheapest solutions in the area if you dont want a huge party. food is good and staff very helpful.

Re: Bastille day - what to do? Any suggestions?

there seems to be events near borough market on Sunday but if anyone knows about more local events, I would be interested as well. I know usually there is something in battersea park but I couldn't find any information online when searching today.

Re: What to do about foxes? Help please!

Get a cat? well I'm not sure that works all the time but we have only occasionnally had foxes in our garden and I have noticed that it was during periods where there were no cats around. as long as my neighbour's cats are around (they love our garden), no signs of foxes...

Re: Bilingual children - another question!

I am French too and I do my son's homework in English, especially when he has to talk about a book he read at school, I think it is important for him to do it in English, so that he is prepared to talk about it again in English at school the following day, and learn the vocabulary. My English is ver...

Re: Chicken pox dilemma

I also think it is more likely that the other child was contagious last weekend than she will be next weekend (if she started having spots yesterday she may not be contagious anymore after 4 to 5 days). And 22 June is in 4 weeks time! if your daughter's got it, it will probably be before you go. Als...
