Re: About the shoping.....

Maybe people should have let her go first? But this is more a courtesy thing I think. I was in the bus yesterday, an old man came in as well as a pregnant woman. Nobody stood up to give their seat (I was standing up so had nothing to give). Two men were seating behind me, didnt move and were not eve...

Out of interest too, if your child isnt in one of these 4 feeder schools for Bolingbroke, which secondary school does he/she go to?
I cant believe they all move to independant schools?

Re: Meet the Leader of Wandsworth Council

Dear RaviGovindia Thank you for your responses. I understand you are very busy but would mind being more specific on your answers re: school improvements. As you said "the Council has a range of strategies to make good schools outstanding and satisfactory schools good. These include school-to-s...

Re: mothers of sons out there help me!

I understand your feeling and I agree with all the previous comments. I would say it is not just boys... I have two girls that have nothing to envy little boys: they run, jump, etc and are very confident physically. I think constant reinforcement about rules in playgrounds/streets to watch for other...

Re: Meet the leader Proposed new hotel - East Hill/Trinity Rd

I totally agree, this is a ridiculous plan.

Wandsworth did retract the planning of the 2 towers by CJ; is there a petition or a planned consultation of the public prior to it being granted?

I agree with shopper, you should post the question to the councillor.

Re: Meet the Leader of Wandsworth Council

Another question (not sure if we can post two but I try ;) ) Why Wandsworth residents cannot get a resident card and therefore get discounts at, for example, Latchmere Leisure Centre? In other boroughs residents get a discount at their leisure centre (for ex Greenwich Leisure Centre). Also why is th...

Re: Meet the Leader of Wandsworth Council

My question to the leader Dear Leader Counciller Wandsworth has highest birth rate in London (somebody from the "Performance and Standard" department at the council said that it is actually the highest in Europe since 2008) and in Battersea people would do anything they can to get their ch...

Re: Belleville, Forthbridge Rd site

From what I understood there shouldnt be anyone because the catchment for both is still the people living around the main site... But maybe I am wrong?
A friend of mine lives on Meteor St opposite the new site and was given a negative answer by the council...

Re: Northside/Shaftesbury - where do your kids go to school?

How exactly can you get into the bilingual stream at Wix? My children are bilingual french and english and we would love if they could carry on their bilingualism throughout their education so they can be bi-cultural as well... Would really love to know how really difficult it is to get into the bil...

Re: Croquembouche - that won't bust the budget?

Congratulations on your wedding! Unfortunately, what you have been told is true. I am not sure how much the people you mentioned are charging but it might be wise (as you are getting married in St Pancras) comparing it to the price of a return to Lille + the cost of the dessert on the day (except it...

Re: .

This post written by OP before she edited it and the ones written after that raised one question which I think is interesting. Where does abuse start and disciplining stops (we seem to all agree that there are different ways of disciplining whether we agree with them or not)? I am obviously not talk...
