Netball camps

Does anyone know of any netball camps locally over the summer holidays?  My 12 year old is interested in polishing her skills over the holidays...

Properly skilled carpenter required

I have a client who had 'hardwood' windows supplied that are (surprise surprise!) not actually hardwood and so have rotted on some areas of the sills.  I therefore need a good carpenter (not simply a jobbing chippie please) to cut out the rot and repair them properly. Does anyone have any recommenda...

Re: reputable and honest builders

I would agree about Qualitas, Mascot and Orchestrate.  Not that the others listed aren't good, I've just never had experience of them.

Re: What's the most secure bike shed to have in your front garden?

Asgard metal bike shed every time.  Expensive and has quite a waiting list but well worth it...

Re: Weekend pedestrianisation of Northcote Road will begin at Easter

To NV Husband, First of all thank you for your support on the weekend closure.  Regarding the music on the road yesterday, it was the Impact Festival, who were the same people we had last year, funded by the council’s arts office.  It was samba dance for two sessions of ten minute shows, and a trap...

Re: Weekend pedestrianisation of Northcote Road will begin at Easter

I'd have to say that I do agree with Dudette on this comment.  We seem to have more pizza and burger places than anything else and even with Ole & Steen opening where Byron was, the choice of qood quality restaurants with more varied menus is pretty limited...

Re: Weekend pedestrianisation of Northcote Road will begin at Easter

Thanks for your thoughts so far on this topic.  As one of the organisers of the closure I can confirm that there will be more defined guides as to where businesses can place tables and chairs this year, which in turn should make it easier to navigate up and down the road.  As far as the busses are c...

Wandsworth night time strategy survey

Afternoon all,

Could I please encourage businesses and residents to fill out this consultation please? It is important and will shape the night time strategy for the borough.

Re: London Farmers Market = Northcote road??

Thanks for your comments above. We have looked at the viability of a farmers market on Northcote Road a few times, especially as you say, now that the council have decided that they would like to keep the summer weekend closure going forwards for the long term.  There are however numerous difficulti...

Re: Thermomix- are they worth the investmet?

We were lucky enough to be given a Thermomix 18 months ago by a client, and I have to say that it's fantastic.  We are quite big 'foodies' anyway, but the Thermomix has definitely added a completely new dimension to our repertoire.  It is brilliant for new ideas, and the step by step instructions on...

The tree has arrived...!!

Morning all, Hopefully you will have seen the Christmas tree that arrived yesterday in Abyssinia Close, ready for the switch-on by the Mayor of Wandsworth at 5pm tomorrow. The tree has been provided by the hospitality businesses of Northcote Road and Wandsworth Council, and will remain in place unti...

Re: Northcote Road Christmas lights switch-on - 26th and 27th November

Good afternoon all, Sadly I'm afraid that we have had to cancel both the waiter's race and the dog show on Saturday.  Whilst we had a handful of entries, there just weren't enough to make either event viable unfortunately. The two characters from Paw Patrol will still be making appearances by the Ch...

Re: Northcote Road Christmas lights switch-on - 26th and 27th November

Morning all, We've only had a small handful of people registering for the dog show which, given the amount of lockdown puppies around now (including my own!) I find rather strange  😢 If you would like to register please just email me on info@northcoteroad.london and let me know which category you wo...

Re: Keyless entry Front door suppliers

I’m with OLBC on this.  Having had my Ring doorbell blocked last year, it’s unbelievable how simple it is to hack into these things - a £40 box from Amazon is all it takes!! Thankfully they didn’t get into the house, but blocked it in order to steal something from one of my neighbours and avoid reco...
