Re: Bocketts or Hobbledown

You'll have a fab day at either. Personally I'd suggest Brockets for younger ones and Hobbledown for when they are a little older. As a previous poster mentioned Hobbledown has a massive indoor playarea that is fantastic for slightly older toddlers, I'd say at roughly 3+ it really comes into its own...

Re: special present ideas for man who has everything

A friend recently got a selection of family photos made into a short film with music etc for her husbands 40th birthday. He loved it. I've been thinking about doing it for my husband who similarly has everything, but I haven't actually got round to looking into costs etc. My friend used a company ca...

Re: Tanking basement

Hi there, we tanked our basement with a company called Stonehouse based down in Somerset. It was somewhere in the region of 4K for tanking alone. Ontop of that you'd be looking at a fit out cost and that would really depend on what you wanted doing. 15-20K strikes me as more of the sort of cost you'...

Re: Brilliant online sleep consultant

I dread to think where we would have been had we not found Carol! Our 6 month old son only ever slept for 20 min stints and more often than not had to be fed or pushed to sleep. I was at the end of my rope. Within a matter of days and after only one home visit Carol had us in a much better place. Wi...

Re: Lookng for someone to make a window seat cushion

I know this post is very old now but having found this post recently I followed Hill billy's recommendation and asked Lisa Gomer to make my window seat cushion for us. She did a fantastic job. She offered some good suggestions of where to source fabrics and piping etc, was very knowledgable and help...

Re: Friday Preschool Art & Music Class-Clapham

For anyone looking for a fun and educational activity in a relaxed and friendly environment, I can't recommend this playgroup enough. I've been taking my 2.5 year old to the class for the last year and a half and he loves it. Catherine who leads the sessions is warm and enthusiastic and kids warm to...

Re: Advice on moving to Hong Kong

Lucky you, I lived in HK for 3 years pre kids and loved it. In terms of what to take I imagine it really depends on who's paying for shipping. You can get everything in HK and I don't really remember there being a big price difference between here and there. HK has an Ikea as well as well as high en...
