Re: New York with toddler

In case you wanted to consider another idea, I've just booked a flat on airbnb. We get much more space and for less money than a hotel. We won't be doing any cooking but it is always great with kids to have access to a fridge, toaster, etc. In the past, several times we've stayed at the Marriot on E...

All the below have fantatstic owners and products: Tierra Verde - Spanish on Webbs Rd For Cyclists - agree London Cycle Workshop on St Johns Hill is our go-to for repairs but the new Everyone Bikes on Northcote Road is great too. Great selection of kit and do servicing. Honey Pot Dandelion - health ...

Re: Private gynae/specialist to rule out breast cancer?

I was seen by Mr Richard Cummins (Australian) at Parkside as it was covered by BUPA and I could be seen straight away on a Saturday. He was very good, personable and put me at ease. He did an exam, sent me for a mammogram to be sure, and saw me again all with a very short period. You have some other...

Thanks for your input!

We have booked Elveden to give it a try. I'm sure it will be great. If the kids are happy, the parents are happy!

Which Centre Parcs best?

Hi all,
Looking into booking a weekend to CP. We've been once before to Longleat and enjoyed it but was just wondering how the other nearest one Elvenden compares? We have two boys, 6 and 9, and will take our bikes. Thanks!

HP 363 Printer Ink

We recently spent £65 on new ink but the old cartridges were not the problem and the printer could not be salvaged. Unfortunately our new HP printer doesn’t take the same cartridge size! They are all unused but opened so we could inspect the expiration date (which is 2015) Black XL, yellow, light ma...

Barcelona - no kids

We are taking advantage of husband's business trip to make a long weekend of it unusually with no kids. yeah! He is staying next to the university in a Sansi hotel but we thought we'd find something more central for the weekend. Any child-free recommendations for a hotel, and any other suggestions w...

Re: restaurant recommendations

For a great meal, you cannot go wrong at Lamberts in Balham. Especially if you go midweek, you will not find a better valued menu. It is always my top choice. I went a few months ago to the Argentine restaurant on Queenstown Rd. It was good if you are hungry for a steak but I wouldn't hurry to go ba...

Re: NHS GP recommendations

We are happy with Battersea Rise. My kids always get in the same day and for myself, its either been same day or in 2 days for something non urgent. I called this morning (a bit late at 8.20 vs 8am on the dot) and had the choice of being triaged by a nurse in hopes of getting an "emergency"...
