Re: Cook - is it a good and healthy option for poor cooks?

We have always found Cook really excellent, supplying generous portions of very tasty food. And in addition the company has a wonderful programme of employing ex convicts. Definitely try them and if you like it then keep supporting a decent company. And to be clear I have no connection with them exc...

Re: Gas Boiler Service

No contest - Jane Graham of Jane’s plumbing on 07908 959937 email jane@janesplumbing.co.uk. She’s ex Pimlico Plumbers (couldn’t stand the misogyny). We’ve used her for years and never had a single complaint.

Re: Can anyone recommend a Surveyor

James Delamere at Delamere Nicolet https://delamerenicolet.co.uk/ 01372 308929 - really reliable and professional.  I'm not sure about fees for a job like this as he has never done structural work for us.

Re: Can anyone recommend a reliable roofing company?

A W Roofing (Alan Woods Roofing) has done two jobs for us,, absolutely reliable, excellent quality and very reasonable, though probably not the absolute cheapest you could find.

Re: Happy Christmas, not "Happy Holidays" please!

Either way, with all the stuff going on around the world, I guess we could all agree that we are happy to live in a society where this even gets a mention!

Re: Awful SIL making me dread extended family Christmas

Probably not really for this thread - I was just trying to help the OP from my own experience - but it's an interesting debate. But if you think about it - do you really, seriously think you 'own' you own feelings, in the sense of controlling them?  You must surely have experienced emotion just well...

Re: Awful SIL making me dread extended family Christmas

I hope no-one works out my identity ................ We have exactly the same problem, except that I'm the husband and my wife has - and has had for years - simmering issues with my sister in law, though not to the point of her being 'awful'.  Based on over 40 years of being married I'd say three th...

Re: Northcote Road quiet?
