Re: Advice - newborn with a hole in the heart

Thank you all for your posts. My sister's baby has now been transferred to the Evelina at Tommy's for a proper assessment. Last week she took a turn for the worse and had to be in intensive care at St George's for a few days but now she is breathing on her own and seems to be improving. I'll make su...

Re: Recommendations: Personal shopper/image consultant/stylist

I cannot reccomend Joy Odunsi of Potenial U highly enough. Not only did she de-tox my wardrobe, analyse my bodyshape and colours, she also took me shopping on Oxford Street where I arrived to try on pre-selected clothes at various shops. She did this when my first baby was a year old and I felt lost...

Advice - newborn with a hole in the heart

I'm hoping there are some mums out there with some experience of babies with holes in the heart. My niece was born nearly 4 weeks ago by emergency c-section 4 weeks early. The baby and my sister went home briefly before they were admitted to St Georges as they thought the baby had bronchiolitis. Any...

Re: Any experience of Hypospadias operation?

Thank you Lisa for sharing your experience. We have had two meetings with the consultant where he talked about the operation itself, but we have been given very little info about the post op recovery. My son has a fairly mild hypospadias, so only one op needed and I only found out about the catheter...

Any experience of Hypospadias operation?

My 13 month old son is having an operation to correct his hypospadias next week at St Georges Tooting. I think it is a very common procedure - it's day surgery and they do many similar operations every week. I just wondered if there were any mums out there whose sons had also had the operation and i...

Bugaboo Wheeled Transport Bag

I am selling a Bugaboo Wheeled Transport Bag which we used with our Chameleon Bugaboo (only about 3 times I might add!). It retails at £89.95 in John Lewis but I would accept £30 ONO. If you are planning on flying this is a great bag to use to protect your buggy once it's been checked in.

Re: Private Midwife for Home Birth

I had both my sons at home using midwives from The Birth Centre in Tooting. I cannot recommend it more - I had a very positive experience both times. I think they have changed the way they work now, so a home delivery is more expensive, but if you are happy to be at The Birth Centre itself which is ...

Nanny wanted for Tues & Thurs SW11

I have recently gone back to work two days a week and would like to find a nanny to look after my two boys (1 and 3 years old) for Tuesdays and Thursdays (8.30am - 6.30pm) plus occasional babysitting. We live near Clapham Junction so it would be helpful, but not essential if you know the area. I am ...
