Hockey clubs for 8yr old Post Reply

I have an 8yr old girl (yr3) who has developed a real interest in hockey having played it seriously for the first time this year at school. Really keen to support and develop this interest but dismayed to hear both Spencer and Wayfarers operate waiting lists. Is there any chance of us getting a place for next season.... or at all now? She has been on the wayfarers list for c.6mths, Spencer for less.
Seems crazy you need to register them years before they ever pick up a stick to get a place, I had no idea!

Worth also trying The Wimbledon Club. My daughter is also on the waiting list for the two clubs you mention, but has just started with TWC instead.

If you're willing to go a bit further afield, you could try Tulse Hill & Dulwich or Panthers in Honor Oak, a club which has recently expanded into kids hockey so would definitely have spaces...
