With Christmas nearby, what are your top Freebies and money saving tips ?

Christmas is not far away and can be financially challenging to many of us - I thought I would put together some good ideas of products to help now and all year round. What ideas do you have ?

--------

FREE  COFFEE
Cafe Nero - Get a Free hot drink voucher (any hot drink) after you make your first purchase at Caffè Nero using the Caffè Nero APP (click this on your phone :- https://nero.app.link/u9NyXa3kP0 ). You then have until 31/12/2019 to claim your drink.

Greggs also are giving you a free hot drink if you download their App :- https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/greggs/#37592

CHEAP TAXIS, cheaper than Uber - do you use Taxis ? Try out the new KAPTAN (its the same as Uber, but usually c.15%+ cheaper than Uber/no surge pricing, with usually the same drivers!) - Download the APP https://tinyurl.com/yyu9dord : get £2 off your 5 first rides,  making local rides about £3 ! Great if it’s raining and also if UBER loses its license.

Instead of a taxi, use ZIPCAR - hire a car now by the minute (just 29p) or the hour(£10). Great for getting to nights out or when it’s raining. 'By the Minute' hire is good as you can leave it in a different place to where you picked it up (check the london coverage, alot of London is covered). You can even drive to and from Heathrow T5 . Currently it’s free to register and to try it, you can get £25 of free driving with this link, that’s 86 mins of free driving :- https://tinyurl.com/y56enzlu

Or if you drive your own car around London why not PARK YOUR CAR CHEAPER, using other peoples driveways, search using this website :-https://www.justpark.com/

THIS IS A MUST if you spend money abroad ...
Did you know the banks take roughly 3%+ from all transactions unless you have one of the specialist cards. Can be big money on a family holiday - charges work out at c.£30 for every £1000 you spend.
REVOLUT is of of the top 'commission free' spending cards (also get no charges for the first £200 of monthly cash ATM withdrawals). You get £15 of FREE cash after your first payment when your sign up at the moment https://tinyurl.com/y2ed4g22 - apply not for next years holiday, whats to lose!

Free delivered Flowers!
The amazing local Freddie Flowersre stunning - they are giving you your first massive bunch for free (worth £24), including delivery. It’s then an ongoing subscription so remember to put in your preferences for weekly/monthly deliveries  or you can cancel without any penalty after your free trial flowers. Use this code : JoannaL6115

£50 FREE
Amex do some great offers during the year, including 'Shop Small' which happens every December - this December, get upto £50 of free cashback (spend £10, get £5 automatically back onto your statement) with selected local retailers. Other additional cashback promotions  include 5% off Waitrose spend. If you don't have a card, apply now, with the current Ba Amex promotion, get 6000 free avios points (subject to spending £1000 on card in first 3 months) :- https://tinyurl.com/swxbpk2 (make sure its set up on full direct debit each month to avoid interest charges).

GYM OFFERS
Kick Start the new year fitness regime with some great free gym offers, highlighted on the moneysaving expert site (and subscribe to their weekly email, with lots of offers promoted).
Including 2 weeks of local British Military fitness which happens on Clapham Common  (the weekly email is well worth signing up for) :-

Not sure if they are still doing it, but for a FREE BEER or glass of wine, download the free Youngs Pub 'On Tap' APP. Then see the rewards section.
