Mugging on 18th January Wandsworth Common Train Station

Postby SWSWSWMUM » Wed Feb 12, 2020 5:36 pm

Someone tried to mug my son on Saturday 18th January at around 12:30 lunch time at Wandsworth Train station. He was followed from outside the station on to platform 3 by a man in a long black coat with his hood up. This man threatened to punch him and throw him on the tracks if he didn't hand over money. He was incredibly intimidating even for my 6ft boy who was trying to shake him off by walking up and down the platform. Two women intervened and came between him and the mugger. One woman ushered my son on to another carriage. When my son got off at Clapham Junction the mugger tried to follow him but one of the women stood in his way. He was followed out of the station but managed to run away. This is now being investigated by the London Transport Police.
I just wanted to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to those ladies in case they read this.
