Recommendations: Nice spa / hotels outside of London

Postby hellyc » Wed Feb 19, 2020 10:56 am

Hi folks
I have secured a free weekend and want to hit a nice spa / hotel outside of London - with good food and just nice chilled out feeling. Willing to drive 1.5/2 hours. I'm pregnant so we won't be hitting the local bars so happy to be rural etc.
Where would you guys personally recommend?
Thanks
H

Second Limewood, really lovely albeit quite a busy place.  The Newt in Somerset is incredible value for money if you manage to get a room.  Beautiful hotel with a spa that is not massive but is gorgeous and the ladies who give treatments are fabulous.
I have reviewed it on my blog and I also listed other hotels with spa not far from London (Chewton Glen, Coworth Park, Soho Farmhouse etc) on my blog, if that's useful:

The spa at Beaverbrook is great.

The one I'd like to try next is The Spa at South Lodge...
