Celebrating pancake day with the family at Market Hall West End

As we all know, Pancake Day - or Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday (the first day of Lent - what are you giving up!?) - is celebrated by eating pancakes! So we headed to the largest food hall in the UK, Market Hall West End, with our little one to indulge.

Market Hall West End is their third food hall site. Set just off Oxford Street and covering 35,000 sq ft over three floors, it has over 1,000 seats, four bars and 11 independent food traders. It was spacious enough for our little one to walk around and explore while making friends with all the wonderful staff. They had a dedicated changing facility for babies and high chairs.

After walking around visiting all the food traders, we finally made our decision on what to eat! One of our favourite savoury dishes was the famous flaky, buttery roti from 'Gopal's Corner' filled with chicken and vegetables. For a sweet treat we shared the blueberry and bacon stack of pancakes from 'HotBox'. The little one got to watch the chef at 'Love Mini Pancakes' flip fresh, bite-sized fluffy pancakes drizzled in white chocolate and strawberry - we went back there for seconds!

Market Hall offers something for everyone, whatever your taste or budget.
