Young family from San Francisco new to ‘between the commons’

Postby Trisha1021D » Sat Jun 27, 2020 1:16 pm

Hi everyone
We recently purchased a home between the commons and are very excited to be moving in! My husband and I both work (from home for now) and have 2 sons (age 9 and 5) and a young daughter (2 months old)! We moved to London 4 years ago (From San Francisco) and are very happy to call battersea our (soon to be) new home.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello to everyone! Looking forward to making new friends :)

Happy weekend!

-Trisha & family :D

Welcome.  This is a great place, albeit in very weird times.  Enjoy!

Welcome from me too!

You couldn't have picked a better place to move to with your family. Of course I could be slightly biased  :D

Hey Trisha,

Welcome to the area!!

My husband and I just moved to the area just three weeks back as well and it’s been lovely! I am sure you and the family will love it too!

When are you moving in? Feel free to hit me up if you need anything, happy to share my notes from this far! :)

Hi there!

We moved from SF 4 years ago too and also have two kids (5.5 and 2) and my name is Tricia. We live near Battersea Park. How have we not met?!

Ha ha welcome!

Hi Trisha,

We are two old Northcote Lodge and Merlin boys who have graduated/graduating from university. Both worked as sports gaps at our respective prep schools in 2017 after leaving our secondary schools Dulwich College and Bryanston.

What’s on offer?

We are looking to create an alternative style of babysitting this summer. Offering an active styled boys/girls nanny care session filled with a variety of sports and games such as football, cricket or rounders on Wandsworth common!

Between the two of us, we have limited the availability of 1-6 children for each session (max 3:1). This is to ensure we are not only following the Ofsted guidelines on ratio but allow us to comply with COVID restrictions and ensure a friendly session of sports and games where each child is getting the necessary attention.

Both of us have played a variety of sports at the highest level of secondary school and whilst we do not carry any coaching qualifications, we believe the children will be able to further their development in sports along with our guidance. However, most importantly have a blast running around for some morning exercise!

We are going to endeavour to keep age groups together depending on demand for bookings.
