Face masks

Postby Luvnyrick » Sat Jul 11, 2020 12:03 pm

Just wondering what everyone's views are on face mask.its ok for people that can feel comfortable wearing them but what about people that can't tolerate wearing them I mean there are some people out there that suffer anxiety and can't cope having just there eyes showing and there are also people that simply can't cope that find them impossible to breath I don't just mean those with breather problems I mean that cannot cope at all.has that mayor thought about that .it's been bad enough coping with lockdown and the effect it's had on people especially those suffering mental health problems.

In Germany face masks have been obligatory in enclosed spaces since the economy re-opened: in shops, public transport,  shopping centres, when walking between tables in restaurants, in churches, secondary schools etc. They have seen very few new cases since the reopening - and these have largely been confined to identifiable work places where they can be managed.

There are exceptions for those with asthma and certain other medical conditions - though those people are advised to avoid enclosed spaces where they might become infected and might infect others. and for young children etc

Germany has been very successful in managing corona virus - a total of 9000 deaths out of a population of 82 million. The UK has the worst record on excess deaths in Europe - over 60,000.

My advice would be to copy what Germany is doing.

I was against wearing one in the past but now changing my mind in that if it helps getting life back to normal I would wear one.

We have been wearing masks for months when shopping etc. I thought that they should have been mandatory from the get go...better late than never!
