empty Supermarket shelves

Postby iloveminirolls » Fri Sep 10, 2021 11:02 am

Can't believe how hard it has been to get a full food shop over recent weeks. My last two Waitrose shops have had at least 25% of items missing and in Sainsbury's on Wednesday night the shelves were literally bare. Is this how it is going to be for the forseeable?

Not sure anything involving a distribution chain will be getting better any time soon. Friends in retail tell me getting containers to ship things is impossible and prices have rocketed. I think that we are in for an interesting tome ahead. Sorry not to be more upbeat :?

Yep! And my pro-Brexit mate now thinks this is the fault of the EU.
By the way, if you're running low on bottled water you could try using the tap in your kitchen. You'll also be using less single-use plastic waste too.
