I wouldn't recommend it at all. Partly as i think it's so so money grabbing. I paid £200 for half head and cut and it was so so rushed. Yes, you get a nice massage beforehand but i think it's a total money machine. They insisted i put a colour treatment on my hair and i was saying i didn't like it - and i felt bullied into it. It cost me £50 for 2 mins.

I really wouldn't recommend.

That doesn't sound good at all!!

Was that with owner/head stylist?

Do you have any other recommendations please? I do not want someone who comes to my house as per the very long running old thread. Thanks

I know! I had a wonderful hairdresser for years and she went back to Australia so i am now on the hunt. Somebody recommended Lauren at Rush on St Johns Road - she blow dried my hair once and i have to say it was brilliant so i think i'm going to give her a go. But i hate to recommend her as i haven't been personally. and yes i want to go into a salon as well!! x

I think we might have the same old hairdresser in that case!

Hi, I can recommend 'Reece 79' on Abbeville Road. He's brilliant.
You won't be disappointed. His number is 020 867 552 77.

i also found it very expensive so went elsewhere. I've gone to another salon and been a lot happier.

I've been an Edward James customer since the salon opened and it's the best cut and colour I've had in London. Yes it's expensive but I've never felt it to be a money making machine. Ed the owner is really lovely, he has a lot of pride in his business and cares about his customers.

I think it's fabulous - my hair has never looked and felt better. Ed is amazing at colour. For a cut and blow dry I have been happy with Ed, Midi, Craig and Ashley - haven't tried anyone else

Good luck

Claire

That's so interesting - it's Ashley i saw who i thought was rushed, tried to make me spend money on things i didn't need and actually a terrible colour. While i was there, i saw a really nice American woman who seemed nice but £220 for a cut, colour and this colour thing they make you put on seems an awful lot to me.
