I agree with Bathtub! Apart from the liberal sprinkling of terrible grammar and spelling, the use of "The Candidate" or "The ANYTHING" in restaurant reviews is just so hackneyed - it was one of the late AA Gill's witticisms (his partner Nicola Formby was 'The Blonde') when he was writing foodie reviews in the 90s and early noughties, but haven't we moved on from that theme now??
